Yeah, I won't deny that it's all fascinating stuff. Obviously I'm approaching this more from a historical background and am not a practicing Esotericist, but it's interesting to imagine the roles that these texts played in the culture of the time. The Dictionairie was written much later, but even there you can see development between editions as the author moves from a relatively secular to a deeply Catholic approach to Demonology.Or the lesser keys!
The illustrations are the real selling point for the DI, though. I joked about the one of Stolas, but even it's decent enough to look menacing with his unnatural scale and proportions. The ones for the more powerful and recognizable demons like Asmodeus and Belphegor are gorgeous and haunting.
