legit confused Styx for Cobes for a sec and I was really confused reading that. Cobes and Styx should have a wizard duel to decide who’s magic is stronger.

Tfw you're just an NPC in Tarl's game. Clearly everything in his favor is a result of his chaos magic. Donald Trump winning? Chaos magic. Null's wheel of cheese being stolen/lost? Chaos magic. Trudeau resigning? All Styx.

I wonder if there's any way that the court could officially sanction him for this, or if it'll just make them really mad at him and unwilling to be lenient.
He's saying that he's glad that their colleague is dead. Why does he think that they would be okay with hearing this? Because he hid it behind the weakest, gayest "in Minecraft" cover? Does he think that shit actually works?
He's claiming credit for a guy's death, which can't be taken as a confession only because magic's not fucking real—but maybe they'll decide to ignore the "magic" part and interpret it as him using coded language to brag about an actual murder. Anyone in the prosecutor's office with an axe to grind could make his life hell for a while by investigating him as if this were a real murder confession.

They are going to lock his ass up six ways till Sunday, mark my words. Bold strategy Cotton claiming you killed the guy prosecuting you. They won't give a fuck about the magic shit. They will use this as a completely legal justification to put him in a cell until trial.
