I can only go by what I have learned and observed in Scandinavia and I have not witnessed significant progress with either talk therapy during my studies. I have noticed that women who have BPD are especially resistant to DBT because it is so “complex”. They have to be so open to putting the work in and I have observed that few of them are. The very nature of ASPD makes this nearly impossible that I have observed. I’m sure statistics will support whatever gets the institution their grant. I interviewed a patient during my studies who called it “brainwashing yourself into thinking you don’t have problems”. In a way, she was kind of right.

I’m not an expert. I can only express what I’ve learned and what I have actually observed in my sphere of existence. I have not seen significant success rates with permanent change among any of the ASPD varieties with any therapy at all. This isn’t to say that it’s impossible, but I’m dubious on the subject. I burned out on psychology when the DSM reclassified transsexualism as dysphoria rather than an actual disorder. Homosexuality was once classified as a mental illness as well.

BPD girls have trouble with DBT making them acknowledge and sit with their own distress. They know it's what they need, unfortunately judgement is the first thing that gets thrown out the window when they get emotional. I guess we just keep letting them collect micro traumas like trophies, but stay away from them collectively as men. It's safest for everyone.

Agreed. But I think DBT was “created” by a woman who was actually diagnosed with schizophrenia but believed she should have been diagnosed with BDP. She basically ACKSHULLIED the industry. lol You know what they say about psychiatrists and psychologist? They’re as crazy as their patients if not more so. I got some stories. I used to love the subject but watching how it has become so politicized over the years has caused my interest to wane. It is indeed pozzed AF, but what isn’t now of days?

Anyway, to switch the subject back to Styx, I just watched his “I’ve done it all, I’ve accomplished everything I want to, and now I’m bored” video.
