A sign declaring March to be “Stop Blaming White People Month!” has caused a fury in a New Jersey community -- and prompted an investigation to find out who posted it.

In its entirety, the bright yellow and orange sign read, “MARCH is national Stop Blaming White People Month! Accept responsibility for your own bad choices. Hug a white person!”

The town's population of about 4,500 people is about 78 percent white, according to U.S. Census figures.

Greg Kliemisch, a USPS postal inspector, told NJ.com that the sign was discovered Thursday by postal employees, and was immediately removed.

Posting signs of any kind -- controversial or not -- at the post office is “strict
ly prohibited,” Kliemisch said.

The sign drew the ire of Flemington Councilwoman Betsy Driver, who criticized it on the public “Flemington Forward” Facebook group.

“Racism in our town exists, and the racists have been emboldened in the past year to fly their hateful flags a bit higher and yell a bit louder,” Driver wrote.

NJ.com reported she also said racism is not a laughing matter.

"The fact that somebody even put the sign up is just sad and not a reflection of our town," Driver said.

"Racism is not a laughing matter."

Kliemisch said Friday the investigation was in the early stages. It was not immediately clear what potential consequences the sign hanger might face if caught.

Look, the idea that we're out to get white people is ludicrous, and when we find the guy who THINKS we are, he's going to be SORRY! THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH BLAMING WHITEY!!!!

february should've been the month to do this considering that it's black history month

but better late than never, i suppose

The point is understandable but the execution is crap, and comes off as whiny and victimized. Try harder.

So some dumbass makes a sign on a piece of printer paper, tapes it in a USPS building, and then it's immediately national attention? Nah, I bet it goes deeper than that.

I bet it's the choice of font. Looks like Cooper - one of the classier fonts, I must say. Good choices, but probably an ill choice to convey the needed emotion as it has a more classical, home-y feel to it. Also the leading is quite atrocious, just look at the tail on that "p" touching the dot on the "i," tsk, tsk.

Also, that sun emblem does nothing but disturbs the flow of the poster. Totally an afterthought, and only serves to tart up the poster.

Anyway, that must be the reason, because there is no fucking reason otherwise this should be getting national news, no matter how dumb it may be.

blame Christianity for that, it's a culture of martyrdom n victim glorification .
Nietzsche said that too, and he wasn't wrong, but the problem has persisted long past the time Christianity has held any moral authority in America. So now we have to ask ourselves what plus Christianity equals this shitty sense of entitlement and victimization?

In all fairness, NJ.com is hardly "national attention"- it's a regional paper relative to NJ (which has a substantial part of the national population, but still).

But your careful analysis demands recognition and outright praise. All political propaganda should be subject to such typographic scrutiny.

Who the fuck cares what afew guidos from Jersey think?

Literal garbage people

Now this is a campaign I can get behind
What does it take for a hot dog to be considered a white nationalist? Supporting this or just not being kosher?

It's proof America is a Christian nation at heart, and for that matter Western European countries too--gotta have that martyrdom, just nowadays you're thrown to the shitlords instead of the lions.

"It's Okay To Be White" was a much more effective means to dig at left wing racists. It was such an innocuous statement that it was funny watching people stumble over themselves to try and twist it into something racially charged.

What the fuck are they going to do? What's the fine for hanging a piece of paper on government property without permission, $10?

I can understand a lot more sympathy for intersex people in general because it has an actual medical definition that exists outside the realm of tumblr. There are occasional retards who "identify" as intersex, but what they're saying is verifiably false and there's just no arguing about it.

That doesn't mean an intersex person can't be a drama queen, but there's no reason to disagree with a person over intersexuality. That's like disagreeing with someone being blind, or a paraplegic.
