Eh, no one's made the joke yet..

You were on the BBT I'm glad you died.

Jokes aside, Dr Hawkings, aside his personal flaws was a freaking amazing person and so humble towards his field. I am a math geek I can't even scratch what he did... then after 20 + years of being smarter then everyone he stepped back and said "guys I was wrong" So much respect for that.

Damn... I've always wanted to meet him and chat about aliens and the cosmos. At least he's not hurting anymore.

I'll just leave this "F" here.

RIP

Won't be long now, the fundies will be pulling the "he called out for God" schtick like they did Anton LaVay.

Jokes on them, he solved the equation of life. He took the answer to his grave.

RIP you magnificent bastard. Tell Sagan I said hi.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm more happy for him that he died because he outlived the odds. I guess a strong mind really does help.

Edit: Forgot to point out that he died right on Pi Day?

Considering life expectancy for ALS is only a few years after diagnosis, I'm sure he considered himself fortunate enough to have lived to a somewhat-average lifespan.

FAO: IUPAC

I know it's not been discovered yet, but if element 119 is not Hawkingium I'll be very unhappy.

he will be an inspiration to every science student out there in world to excel in their field despite whatever life throws at them .

PS, he made my childhood hell with my dad looking at my report card going look at him disabled but a genius and you with whole body working bring shame to our name with mediocre results
