I’m tired of companies wasting valuable resources so we they trot out “features” like this.

I dont think you fully grasp how telling this new "tech" is of the current state of affairs, especially on the corporate and technological sense.
Not really, cause even through OpenAI backed out on buying about 40% of upcoming RAM supply I think Valve really wants to get the Steam Machine out this year so that is probably going to have a higher focus.

They’d want to at least get one of their announced devices out, hopefully to coincide when the RAM issue diminishes a bit.

*sigh*

Are we in that much of a hurry for Skynet?

“Either buy our needlessly expensive in house remasters or you can get fucked”

I hate when companies do that

How many people will actually buy that for $100?
I don't think it's that bad at that price. I've played on a Steam Deck since last July and those trackpads can make games that would be otherwise unplayable without a mouse and keyboard reasonably playable. Worse case scenario, they wind up being extra inputs for keybinding. There are other more "premium" controllers that are more expensive and yet offer functionally significantly less.

Case in point:

Getting used to my steam deck over the years has made me want a new steam controller for awhile now.

Pointing at Microsoft as an even kike-ier and bigger retard isn't really saying much. I just thought they would be priced to compete with some of the premium controllers like the Flydigi Vader 5 pro or Gamesir G7 pro. The main selling point it seems is TMR sticks (competitors have also) and the track pads. I'd ideally be able to feel it in the hand and see how well built it was before I decided it was actually worth $100.

An early review of the new Steam Controller has apparently been accidentally leaked. The price is mentioned at 3:37; $99.

I was expecting ~$80, it just doesnt seem worth it compared to something like the 8bitdo ultimate 2, which has pretty much everything outside of the trackpads for $60, and i personally dont think those are worth the extra $40.

If the build quality is good it'd be worth it. All the Big 3's are about $80 and are cheap pieces of shit that have stick drift after a year.

Third party shit is unironically proving to not only be fine-r looking but functioning too. How sad is that?

>6 axis gyro

There's a reason that never made a comeback after the PS3 controller. What, you don't enjoy shaking your controller like a retard to grapple the enemy? And if you're really that serious about using it like a racing wheel, just buy a fucking racing wheel.

Looks like a waste of money.

Right because it isn't on the ps4 controller, the ps5 controller, Nintendo switch controllers, or nintendo switch 2 controller.

Pretty much every controller outside of Xbox has gyro aiming, the fuck are you on about?

I don't recall anything beyond the PS3 even using the damn feature except for the Switch. What's the point of it?
