The problem is, it doesn't exist. You can't download it on any stores and it was only a digital game on Steam and Xbox. You can't even buy it anymore.

Is there a way to download the installer/files and force an install on another steam account?
You can always pirate it, especially considering that’s the only way to get it now. Some Steam games are DRM-free (if the publisher chooses) but based on a quick search, that one isn’t.

I can't find the game anywhere. It doesn't exist on pirate sites or on steam.

This is why I've come here because I'm confused as to why I can play and access the game on steam, but can't find it to download. I saw something online where you type Steamgames/app/(a number) or something and that forces the download. It takes me to the game page on the app side but says it isn't available for download.

Is there anyway that steam games can be downloaded from your library in an installer to install on another steam account, or just on another device?

If I'm not mistaken, the closest thing is the backup system. You can compress the entire game into a single file and then decompress it on another device. The problem is that the game still won't work if the other account doesn't have a registered license.

I would have suggested you give something like Steamless a try, which is a tool for removing Steam's DRM, but the game you're interested in is online, so I have no idea if it will work or not.

use goldberg emulator (gbe_fork) to replace steam drm. if that game had online lobbies implemented through steamworks api, you can try to get multiplayer working on lan.
to find the other pc, use overlay which can be enabled through configs in goldberg experimental. all instructions are in readme file.

Thank you for your help and replies. It is greatly appreciated. I wish good karma and happy fortune on both of you.

I'll try these out and see where I get. I'm not arsed about playing against over players but it would be nice if we could play against one another or together in a 2-headed giant lobby.

Account sharing doesn’t let you play the same game at the same time on multiple PCs. You’re gonna have to find another copy elsewhere.
i do like that they let you play with people on your fren list even if they don't own the game with remote play together, had a satellite reign playsession with a friend once, he couldn't stop complaining about how his FPS tanked every time something exploded :sighduck:

Of all the tech monopolies they've chosen to go after, they're going after Steam. LMFAO. My library is at 367. Never ONCE have I felt ripped off buying games from them. 70% of my library was bought on deep, deep discounts, or games bundled with other games. Steam is simply the better platform.

With how retarded the UK is nowadays Valve should just stop selling to them (same with every website that the UK thought police want to censor).
Honestly probably the best way to deal with it. Make the people riot into dropping the case.

You dont get it! They literally make people who sell keys on third party markets to avoid the 30% cut from Valve price match the game, and has stated they WISH (not enforce) that game companies not waste Valves time selling their game cheaper on other platforms, giving steam constumers worse value!

Steam is a monopoly not because of malicious practices, but because its the best for end consumers. Everyone else is retarded and keeps making choices that worsen the "consumers" experience.

The fact they look at the 30% cut as bad as if every other profitable company doesn't also take 30% while doing far less is laughable.

The way to "compete" with Steam isnt to try out outsteam Steam but have your own niche, like GOG. They may hate it but not only Steam beat them to the punch but they were also the best at it, they have "earned" that spot instead of spending years boycotting the competition (looking at you, Microsoft and...nearly every company, especially in Tech).

Of course, this isnt about "Monopolies" and "being fair" now, is it? We all know its not. We all know these executive cargo cultists will literally bend the law backwards if it benefits themselves so this whole thing just reeks of corporate legal hypocrisy of the likes you only find like when Disney gets pissy about copyright laws (while at the same time infamously making a mockery of them through decades of constant bribes- I mean "lobbying")

Honestly probably the best way to deal with it. Make the people riot into dropping the case.

Lol, like hell they will. If getting your females raped by illegals and the authorities and politcians investing more on silencing you about it rather than working on a solution DOESNT get them to riot and hang some bastards, do you think that this situation will?

The UK has literally brainwashed itself decades ago into pure "polite" passiveness only surpassed by maybe Germany and Canada (Australia doesnt count because it never even began for that prison colony nation)

Best case scenario here...they do "drop the case" but you know as much as I that they wont quit it and simply look for other ways (even some not so legal) while waiting the average normie to "forget". It worked with Mastercard and Visa, they technically didnt quit that purist nonsense but, at least for now, they stopped throwing threats at Itch.o and Steam only after an intense negative feedback that caused their stocks to drop for a while but they still didnt quit it.

Our enemies dont truly "give up", they simply shrug and start digging tunnels looking for sneakier ways of getting what they want.

From what I understand, they're claiming to "represent" the UK Steam users as a class action lawsuit, so people could force the case to drop by just getting people to pull out to show the lack of support. The issue is that for the UK, in this particular type of class action lawsuit, you're automatically opted-in and have to go through a bunch of bullshit forms to opt-out. And that's if you're even aware you're a part of it. Most people probably don't even know they're involved because the notification is sitting at the bottom of their junkmail folder.

So I'm sure some of you have heard of the game "People Playground", it's a 2d sandbox game where you build contraptions and similar things. Very reminiscent of flash games like "Mutilate a Doll".

Earlier this year, a mod was uploaded to it's workshop that contained a virus, this virus would delete your saves, your stats, and your achievements. It would also copy itself into any mod you had made and uploaded for People Playground, update your addon without your consent, and spread even further.
Hello!

I have temporarily disabled the Workshop for People Playground. Nothing has been deleted.

A malicious addon has spread itself throughout the Workshop. For now, I can't say with absolute certainty what this mod has done, what it does, how it does it, or any other useful information.

What you should do

  • Update the game by verifying game files
  • Go to your game directory and delete the "mods" folder.
  • Go to "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1118200" and delete the folder.
  • Unsubscribe from mods that were updated/uploaded after January 30th.
  • If you have any uploaded mods, check if they were recently updated without your consent.

What I'm going to do

I'm going to talk to Steam about this and see what can be done. Ideally, the Workshop will be restored. I will work on a patch that should prevent this from happening ever again. It's unknown how long this will take.

I am very sorry for all of this. I'll post an update once I have more information.

EDIT: Update

A patch has been published that should keep you safe. The Workshop remains disabled until I get a response from Steam, though.

EDIT 2: wuh

The mod does not destroy your computer. It removes your Contraptions folder, which is extremely sad, and a bunch of other PPG related files. Also, if you have created any mods, it replaces them with itself. This is how it spreads. If you have updated the game to the latest patch, all of this will be prevented. The Workshop remains disabled.

(Steam News Post)
The Dev of People Playground has disabled the workshop entirely to prevent the spread of the virus, and has contacted Valve to see about getting a total workshop rollback to before the virus was uploaded.

A follow up News Post was made yesterday giving further details.

Hi everyone!

Please update your game. Whether you are on the default, beta, or alpha branch, ensure your game is updated to the latest version. You can do this by verifying game files. Keep your game updated as I publish more improvement constantly.

After some talking and reading, I can say with decent certainty that the mod spread by uploading itself onto the Steam Workshop by overwriting your own uploads. It also reset your preferences, deleted contraptions, and reset your achievements. It seems to have had no other effects or means of spreading.

I've been publishing patches that prevent this mod (and mods like it) from being loaded. If you are on the latest version of the game, it's safe to open (even with mods).

As for the Workshop, unless Steam responds to me soon, I still can't provide an estimate on when it'll be reopened. However, once a large enough percentage of you have updated the game, I can open the Workshop anyway, but modders will have to manually rollback their uploads. Still, this should be postponed for as long as possible in case Steam is able to mass-rollback the Workshop.

(Steam News Post)

A user on the Steam Forum would post a explanation of the virus and what it did, and also how to remove it. Here, it's too long for me to want to put it in a spoiler. The TLDR is that you should delete the workshop folder for People Playground. (1118200)
The Dev has pushed several updates that should prevent a attack like this from ever happening again, and while the attack was destructive, it only affected content relating to the game, not a user's PC. (As the virus is currently understood, at least.)

No archives because archiving steam stuff is a pain, and I doubt any of this is going to go away anytime soon.

Yeah it's not ideal for me personally, but the idea was to be "anti-US" in terms of the law. To be fair, it does do a better job at discouraging frivolous lawsuits, but shit like this still slips through the cracks

But speaking of lawsuits, Steam was in another one that I wasn't aware of

TLDW is that Steam is suing a patent troll and their lawyers. Richard Rothschild has a bunch of shell-companies and was using them to shakedown companies with dubiously acquired patents for quick settlement money since it's far cheaper for the companies rather than taking them to court. In 2016, they tried this on Steam, but they settled and made Rothschild sign an agreement to never try to sue them again over a patent they had the authority to use. They fucked up by trying to sue Steam years later over the same shit, they pulled out the contract and now the judge is holding their ass over the fire for being a blatant pest. Steam is making the case to sue Rothschild directly instead of his companies that can be quickly dissolved as they're clearly not functional companies . The judge is allowing the lawyers to be sued because this was such a blatant abuse of the law and they should know better, essentially

I really hope Steam takes these guys to the cleaners because patent trolls are the scum of the earth and deserve to die penniless on the streets

Erm, why do you care that it's Type A/Type B instead of Male/Female chud? It's not that big of a deal.
Its funny too how he puts it under the guise of it being in a disgussion or review too (while also having the meme of a fat white dude in the top left, body positivity though!). Like, that is the literal perfect place to talk about it. Why is it so hard to just have genders listed as male and female, instead of being such a gigantic faggot about it.
