STEAM HAS FUCKING BANNED THE JESTER STICKER?
Replaced okay looking sticker with shitty corporate looking ones. They also added a "wholesome" sticker. Steam is ran by tranny redditors now goy. Mark my word, in 4 years time vacnet will monitor your voice and text input in game and lower your trust factor for saying nigger.

Unfortunately you are probably right by the way this looks.
I'm going to send Gabe a polite email voicing my concerns on my personal email.
I've never tried to be a fag who reaches out, to see through the change he wants in the world, but I know he reads emails.

funny stuff
The inclusion of the awards on Steam was a mistake that only enshittified the platform and filled it with even more retarded faggots who try too hard to get them. The forums are now full of retarded faggots trying to get points, the reviews are full of retarded faggots trying to get points, the community tab is full of retarded faggots trying to get points, and Steam in general is full of unfunny, unoriginal, inflammatory, and uncreative redditors whose sole purpose is to derail discussions and ragebait to farm the stupid points.

Yes, the Steam forums have always been a cesspool of retardation, to the point that I'm surprised there's not a dedicated thread about them on the Community Watch section. But it would be incredibly disingenuous to come here and even suggest that things weren't much better before they added this stupid feature.

Just take a look at this user's fantastic contributions to the community:

I will surely miss these funny "artworks" that seem to be in all the community hubs.

Ok then just remove the point values? Why do the stickers have to go?

It would have been fine if they actually made a game* or updated a game* or something, but nope that's it. What the fuck do they even do all day? CS2 hasn't gotten a new map in over a year.

*Deadlock doesn't count. No one is playing that shit.

I'm so tired of the "Please add LGBT+ stuff in your game" or "Please add Ukraine translation" in the forums.
It's worse now that Steam has changed the ratings for the posts, it's all positive, no "I disagree" or negative option.

Isn't the answer obvious? There's no need to keep making your own games when selling other people's games has proven year after year to be the winning formula. All Gaben needs to do is sit, relax and let the immeasurable amounts of money flow. Suckers will keep buying loot boxes regardless of the lack of content.

Your post also makes me wonder: would you really want a new game knowing that the people who made the previous ones so iconic are (most likely) no longer there? You yourself have no hopes for Deadlock, so why would it be any different if they announced either something different, or Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3, or Portal 3? Sure, the legacy of the previous games alone and Valve's reputation would sell a new game to half of the internet, but that doesn't mean it's going to live up to the old standards. Is the possibility of disappointment better than getting nothing at all?

Call me a pessimist, I agree that I am, but this "From the developers of [old, iconic game]!" ploy is becoming too common these days for me to take the prospect of a new game by nu-Valve seriously.

We live in an age of toxic positivity. Everything needs to be loving, kind and accepting. No negativity whatsoever because "negative bad". But you see, its fucked up because the powers that be are very very very wrapped in their own negativity, yet they'll deny even that emotion to those below them because happy subjects are subjects that shut the fuck up.

Instead of earning that happiness, they'll inforce it and convince them its better this way because, again, "positivity good/negativity bad".

i think people forget about valve's corporate structure and how it stifles creativity or getting shit done. it's not structured like a typical company where people have assignments and are working towards a single goal, it's all "flat" where you have gabe at the top and then everyone else is below him but "equal". if you have a cool idea or project you need to convince other people to help you work on it or join a team that already has something going. however from reading glassdoor reviews and what ex-employees have to say it's like a giant high school, everyone is part of a clique that you need to suck up to and there are power players that have been there for way longer than anyone else that you need to please. employee performance reviews at the end of the year are apparently a huge brown-nosing time because negative reviews from the big guys could mean you get the boot, even if you didn't explicitly do anything wrong. that's not a healthy working environment and certainly not a productive one. you're not going to win good boy points by being the one guy that's still updating TF2, you're either all in on what everyone else is doing which is probably Deadlock or whatever the fuck White Sands is going to be, if that even exists and isn't Tyler McNigger bullshitting. Valve can do this because they have "fuck you" money through Steam, no other company could pull this off. the biggest complaints existing employees have are that nothing meaningful gets done.

I fully believe you and this is not anything against your post but imagine working at valve and you say "Hey guys, who wants to help me update some stuff for CS2, our most popular game and the most popular game on Steam?", and everyone else in the room looks at you with a straight face and says they'd rather work on what is basically now LGBTQ Marvel Rivals with a playerbase ~2% the size of CS's. That game has been fucking dying since the initial hype 2 years ago and it's still somehow the only thing valve seems to give a shit about, as if they're brand new again and don't have decades of good IP to do stuff with.

When you consider that this is the same company that made Portal and Half-Life there is really no excuse for Deadlock to be as fucking boring as it is.

They also added a "wholesome" sticker.
There was one before, it looked like this:

They're big enough to where you could probably dig around and find funny stuff to screenshot, but a lot of it isn't even genuine because of all the clown farming. Most games had a thread asking why there wasn't more LGBTQIA+ representation, and of course the thread was a million replies long and the OP sat like a king with eighty clowns, each one giving him a smattering of Steam points for his profile. Even I farmed some clowns when the getting was good.

And even despite all of that, I still found the Steam forums to be generally better than the likes of GameFAQs and Reddit, amazingly.

This is the Steam Discussion Thread on Kiwi Farms, so if you stumble upon something retarded, drop the screenshot here so we can all laugh at it.

We live in an age of toxic positivity. Everything needs to be loving, kind and accepting. No negativity whatsoever because "negative bad".
Ironically, the new "fuck you" sticker seems to be the laughing one, which seems meaner than the jester. Oops!

“NOBODY knows what Steam points are for! You buy your games, you go to Gaben and you buy your games and you get your Steam points! What are they for? I don’t—I have no idea. No clue. Have I asked Gaben? No, but there’s no point. He doesn’t tell anyone anything. He won’t tell me, not anybody. So there’s no point, really. None at all to asking. I suppose… uh, I guess we’ll never know. Not for sure, anyway. We’ll have to be happy with that. A lot of us have to learn how to be happy, maybe Gaben is doing his part in, uh, in teaching us that.”

Don’t they have a flat structure? Turns out true Communism doesn’t work. They have infinite money cheat, so no pressure to finish anything, so probably they all work on passion projects that never go anywhere. Or they don’t like working on games at all and work on completely different stuff that is opaque to us.

Or they just fuck around all day.

I only now just found out that Steam changed the way Steam Community Awards work.

Good. Fuck them. I hope every single fucking cocksucker who attention-whored for them to get muh heckin' Steam points or stupid nigger who fiended over awarding their precious jester to the most obvious trolling in the world has killed themselves already. Steam Awards were a fucking mistake and I hope their usage drops down all the way to rock bottom. It brought so much garbage to the platform that you'd have to be blind not to see it.

And to the retards who relied on/used jesters/really any Steam Award to either:
- Make an informed game purchase
- Determine if something is cringe and gay
- Award faggots for gay ragebait to show how alternative and different from the status quo you are
You are the biggest niggerfaggots in existence and should rope. Use your damn eyes and words next time and stop relying on stupid shit.

I would preferably love for Steam Awards to be killed outright but anything that neuters them and their usage is a plus in my book.

Because there was just so much important stuff being posted on steam community that the memes were getting in the way of.

Also, removing awards does not stop people from posting all of that dumb shit nor does it remove the dumb shit that was already posted.
