Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

Okay I've just started a UC quest where I have to investigate a possible case of smuggling and speak to the technicians attending the spacrafts involved - I go to the first guy, ask him what made the instance of cargo they were unloading suspicious and he says "they were being way too delicate. Said they were potatoes. Spuds!"

So people handling cargo carefully is suspicious. I work in a shop, yes, even things like potatoes have to be handled carefully. Fuck me.

This is after I spoke to the Irish doctor lady about the sick kids and went to fetch a report from the doctor topside for her - it's the future, where people have interstellar travel but no emails.

I'm going to go mad.

No emails, no phones or similar way of communication apparently.
I was watching a video about Starfield the other day and the person made an interesting remark: what happened to the pets? Did they let every cat, dog and other animal die on Earth? Did they really have no time during the 50-year exodus to bring the animals with them?

Starfield's setting makes a a lot more sense if it's supposed to be post-apoc like Fallout, like why there's abandoned mining outposts every thousand feet but only four proper cities and maybe twice that in settlements.

Yeah, no pets and no livestock from earth whatsoever. I guess they couldn’t even take clone-able DNA of their animals, either. Despite this there’s at least one piece of concept art that shows a cat, I don’t know what changed the developers’ minds to think the colonists bringing animals wasn’t feasible, they had like 8 fucking years to work on this game.

The last time I player Starfield was after Shattered Space with only a couple of mods so I wanted to try it with mods. It did not help. Coming from modded Skyrim it's shocking how little Starfield has for mods after three years: No Bodyslide, no voiced follower mods, barely any armor/clothing mods, and so many more. Mods are also starting to be abandoned with several popular ones not getting updates since the last patch in June. I pirated a bunch of paid mods and many of those haven't been updated either. If you think you'll ever want to fuck around with modded Starfield I'd do it soon before the modding community dies completely.

I was able to replace the start menu with the intro of season three of Stargate: SG1, so there's that.

One of the reasons I know Starfield sucks absolute ass is that not even the nude modders want it.

They'll mode shovelware and asset flips but not Saarfield.

barely any armor/clothing mods
For a game like this I was expecting tons of armors or uniforms from sci-fi shows and movies. No SG-1 or Star Trek uniforms.
I thought there would be more mods that give more feminine features to the space suits but not all of them sadly.

I saw that there was a transmog mod but it has not been updated. This type of feature should have been made by Bethesda and included in the game.

I wonder what is the policy for this type of stuff. If the mods on the Creation Club don't get updated, do people get a refund?

I've heard it's because of the way Bethesda updated their engine for the game.

Wrong. You can play as Daniel Jackson, minus the constantly talking about his wife who cucked him. There's also Jaffa armor.

There's one mod author who's doing that and that's it.

And get the NG+ chooser mod to avoid getting the same vanilla universe each time although they're all disappointing. I thought the Constellation is all kids universe would be a Goonies kind of adventure but nope, it's just kids hanging out in an abandoned Lodge. The universe where you meet yourself has a few new dialogue options but you can't take yourself under your wing and show them how to be a Starborn. You can't even romance yourself. Speaking of romance, marry Andreja first, set your Speech skill to 100, then get with the rest of Constellation. Andreja will through a bitchfit each time but you can gaslight her into being okay with it. There's a unique display before you step into the Unity so the game intends you to be Constellation's fucktoy.

No, they're not. You don't pay for Creations, but Creation Credits to get them with, and consumables, like credits and MMO subs, are explicitly outside the refund policy.

most of the mods made don't need a update though, which is odd i guess but if you come from skyrim you always expect to look for a mod update whenever the game updates or add DLC, my multi ship mod is working fine for terran armada, the only mods i was having issues were the SFSE ones but i needed to update the script extender and they work just fine, i guess todd wanted mod stability because of the creation shop as it's mainly tailored for console peasants.
