In the second and final season of Starfeet Quality Learing Acamy, Bill Nighy plays a piano,
Fuck me, there was a time when Bill Nighy was the star attraction. Those days are long over. The most immobile vampire being ever filmed, a straight man to Matt Smith, the evil billionaire in Detective Pikachu (whose plan makes no sense) and now Star Trek Community College; with what I can only assume is a Love Actually reference.

This whole year feels like when Connie Chung got fired from her own show, so she came out dressed like Liberace and just started braying “Thanks For The Memories."

Why'd the Doctor opt to change his visuals to be a grumpy out of touch old man version of himself rather than stay the exact same like what the clearly superior Surgical Chancellor of the far future who was so hopeful and noblebright he left behind a civilization he had objectively improved in every way to wander the stars and discover what happened to his old friends

If the writers had any sense they'd bring back this Doctor to slap some sense into the Federation and current grump Doctor

I was at nycc on Friday and there were Trek actors in their own booth. They weren't in the dedicated celebrity area.

Got a Brent Spiner autograph. Shatner was there and Denise Crosby and Nana Vistor. I already met Shatner at Ticonderoga so I didnt need another from him. I think Robert Picardo and a few others were there too but I didnt see them.

Spiner and Shatner are looking good for their age. The camera really does add ten years. Shatner slimmed down a bit. Nana Vistor is so smily and friendly irl.

Whenever someone mentions Pavarotti, this scene pops up in my head

I was trying to link to “speech and debate is not for the chicken shit" but it's been scrubbed or something. Paramount is peddling this shit and they don't want it out there. Like they were embarrassed on Kurtzman's behalf. And yeah it's pretty rich that this song and dance man is calling his students pussies.💅

I already didn’t give a shit about Tilly or Reno, so having them flex on a bunch of students is twisting the knife. I don’t remember any other show doing this. You don’t see Mr. Feeny do this:

If the test was to dress as though you are waiting for a white van to pull up and ask if you need a ride, then congratulations. You have passed with flying colors.

Hell I don’t even think Bugs Bunny was this much of a dick when he was teaching!

I hope Takei dies first and he dies salty about the whole thing.
I saw this vid and man he looks like shit and seems like he's still hung over about crap that happened years ago.

I think it's kinda sweet that Walter mellowed out over Shatner and acknowledged he was pretty good in the role.

I get why Takei is bitter about his lines and scenes being rewritten for Shatner and all of that, but what he's never expressed is Shatner was THE star of the show. Nimoy and Kelley were the co-stars. Everyone else in the Gang of 9 were just glorified extras. Takei's job was to push buttons, say "Klingons off the Starboard Bow!" and have slant eyes. Anything beyond that was just a bonus and a few extra dollars. The fact that the producers even wanted familiar background faces on the ship and that meant he got semi-regular work at a time when any work would have been welcome seems to escape him.

And I kid about wanting him to die salty. I do want his last few years to be peaceable and tranquil and all of that. And he's really showing his age.

You put a quarter in him and he recites the internment camp story. Put another quarter in. "So, Excelsior...” :lossmanjack:

Even when they made John Cho a fencing expert and openly gay, George could not take the W. He's just a catty contrarian.

I guess every sci-fi show has the one messy bitch who needs you to know they hated being there.
