Spiderman will always be a part of my childhood.
Hopefully he's in a better place now.

RIP Stan Lee

Seems like there is a massive divide among sjws.

Well one half is being very dumb, the side saying he's racist and homophobic. If you ask them for sources on that they link the exact thing which was when Stan Lee said that Peter Parker is straight and not bisexual, and that in the movies he shouldn't be black he should be white to remain comics accurate and that they should use Miles Morales as a black Spider-Man for the movies instead. When you ask them for something else, they have nothing else. Apparently this is "enough" to damn him despite all he's done for representation within comic books and the superhero genre.

Thats all it takes in order for your good work to be erased these days. One tiny thing.

Never was very big comics fan, but it's very sad news. Very few people had such a massive impact on culture and Stan Lee also seemed like genuinely nice man.
One of the most inspiring things about him, for me personally, was the fact his biggest achievements took place when he was 40/50 years old. It's never too late.

Rest in peace.

Seems like there is a massive divide among sjws.

Half of them think he’s racist because most of his characters are white and the other half think he was a messiah of social justice because he either talked about how bad racism is in an opinion column or made parallels to shit like civil rights in the actual comics, which is what he did with X-Men.

Even when he referenced real world events like racism and war in the comics he really only used them as a springboard to promote basic messages about treating others kindly and fairly, which is shit that you learn in the 3rd grade, so acting like he was this super political guy who would’ve gladly made Thor a paraplegic black woman if given a second chance is dumb. It’s not like the vast majority of social issues back then weren’t more black and white (literally) then they are now.

Failing to keep up with the Social Justice treadmill makes you a hateful bigot, no matter how great your past bona fides.

mfw when your biggest rival is more respectful of your death than your own “fans”

True, you only have to fall once, and you are branded problematic evermore, nothing you can do will ever be enough.....

But don't point out that hypocrysy to the mob, they'll trip you and then label you a problematic faller.... we've all seen it happen.

And all day now, I"ve had the theme to the 90's Spider man Animated show in my head, the most awesome guitar work in a Marvel property, ruined by stupid electronically modulated voices chanting "spider-man", try to ignore them and it's pretty cool.

I was surprised by Mark Ruffalo's tweet, considering he is wokest of the woke MCU celebs.

"Sad, sad day. Rest In Power, Uncle Stan. You have made the world a better place through the power of modern mythology and your love of this messy business of being human..."

'Don't bite the hand that feeds you' comes to mind...
