It might just be trend-chasing for the sake of shekel grubbing.
It is shekel grubbing, but let's not pretend that SS13, CoQ or other niche autism sims had any mainstream popularit before they got featured by a popular youtuber. It's not trend-chasing if you start the trend.

Isn't Sseth stealing footage fully in character? He does cosplay a african warlord working for jewish cabal.
I do agree his best videos are about games he played when he was younger. Pharaoh is probably the last video I really liked. I played these impression city builder games to death.

His extension to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs was his funniest joke ever.

Has there been evidence of plagiarism in any of his other videos? If there is then it seems like a trend.

My theory if its just those two is Dwarf Fortress and SS13 are pretty notorious in the hardcore autism games crowd. He could either not have interesting stories, or potentially just didn't enjoy/understand them but still felt obligated because of their reputation.

I've been ninja'd because of a Net setup so astonishingly terrible you wouldn't believe it if I were to describe it to you; I do not care. Have a good one.

Damnit now I am tempted to buy those games. I am drawn in by the audaciously pretentious concept of making the same game yet again but with the Ocarina of Time gimmick, so it's that LSD fractal meta-wierdness thing.

But I know I'll never actually play it.

Pathologic is a bit frustrating. the first game's story and world are entrancing but the gameplay is shit, 95% slowly walking broken up by the excitement of digging though trash, so the sequels are remakes of the first game's story but also not. The series is filled to the brim with meta shit including playing with the fact the games being a sequal. The 1st game had 3 characters with diffrent routes and 2 is a reinmagining of the perspective of the bachelor while 3 is the Haruspex's.
It's a very messy series, 2s an actual game and 3 is apperatetly even better, don't know personally since it came out just today. I recommend at least playing around in 1 just to feel the vibes but don't push yourself if you're getting bored to tears then just watch a long play or something, then play 2 and 3.

You mixed it up, 2 is the haruspex and 3 is the bachelor, if we're lucky we can finally get the 4th to fix the changeling route that was always incompete and if we live in the good timeline possibly a fifth to tie the entire story with a bow ontop.

Still we should count our lucky stars that the series managed to make it this far in the first place.

2, from what I know, is a very sadistic game. The kind of game where dying gives debuffs, your healing is what you give to patients, etc. Hence the kind of game that people like to make videos about, such as Mandalore and Hbomberguy, but just didn't take off like other "suffering is fun" games like Fear & Hunger or Dark Souls. Probably doesn't help it has a 2, when its actually a partial remake.

3 at least sounds the least punishing and sounds interesting, so I hope they find some success. Will just have to see though.
