I’ve been reading Spawn because those big compendiums with 50 issues each are cheap (compared to the big two) and I gotta say, I love this shit.

It’s batshit insane and gives no fucks what you think, you can hop on for the ride or you can sit and seethe.

Todd is great, he’s such a troll. The crazy bastard even has an issue where Spawn is told that “his creator has never and will never sell him.”

lads, the earlier you drop capes, the better it gets. Even more when it is fucking x-men trash.

These pages were too silly, imagine not being able to kill the man who killed his son while being hold. And why would batman do if he went for the kill lol
Not only that this is a guy that killed his son (reason enough for most average Joes to pull the trigger), this guy's an infamous serial killer who's done it before and will do it again. So it probably -would- do good in that regard and I imagine a lot of people wouldn't think twice about it.

This issue of Batman Gotham Adventures explains the change of costume between Catwoman in the BTNA, it was all because she went to far against a woman that her company did experiment on cats. Good issue even fuck cats, piece of shit animals, dogs superior.

This comic is pretty good so far

I'll never understand these people. Peter and MJ were in a relationship for 40ish years in the regular comics (not even counting Stan Lee's long running newspaper comic), she was the main love interest in the Ultimate universe, they're married and have kids together in two separate (and fairly popular) alternate timelines, and MJ was the main love interest in both of the mega popular film franchises (Raimi's and now the MCU), plus their relationship and reconciliation was a plot thread of the recent popular Sony game.

It's like trying to pair with a new love interest and/or do relationship drama between Superman and Lois or Sue and Reed, it's not what any of the audience wants and we all know its not going anywhere. It's a waste of time and runs counter to what the majority of fans want. I'm just glad I largely gave up on current comics after 2010.

Also:
>gwenfag
Those people are even more stupid. After Ditko left she lost all personality and Norman murdering her was a mercy killing. They can't really use Spider-Gwen because in their retardation of trying to force a pairing between her and Miles they decided she was actually younger than she should be, so now she's too young for 616 Peter.
I actually hate Clark x Lois and have always been a Lanafag, but in Spider-man case I can see why people dislike changing from MJ, since it needs time and lots of work to make it stick.

Wagner wrote "America" as a coda for the Democracy storyline, as he didn't want to make trouble and override Ennis.

It is rather funny that latest Essential Edition: America collects work done by Grant, Wagner and Ennis. Reading that collection it feels a bit like Dredd is 3 different characters.

I'm also not sure about overriding Ennis, if I'm not mistaken his vote for democracy story was published after America. America in 90, Ennis democracy vote in 91.

Kirkman's The Walking Dead was in the top five or at the very least top ten best selling comics throughout most of its publication.

It was in top 70-100 until the TV show started rolling:

So only last half (or even last third) was selling in TOP 10 range. Kirkman, unlike DC/Marvel has manged to translate popularity of the adaptation into comic sales.

I'm hoping that he met some guy that went on to be the basis for John Constantine and not that he met the actual one from the comics.

But knowing how crazy he is I'm afraid that he means the real one.
You know it's weird when you relaize that many comic book writers seem generally insane in some way Moore, Morrison and even Miller in someway.

Sting from the Police?
That's not Sting, that's a picture of Sting!

Moore has expressed the belief that he has met John Constantine in real life, so I don't know how sane he is...
It's all to do with Moore's theory that an individual can be put in a trance-like state when performing certain feats, like the act of writing or (in the case of Jack the Ripper) killing, which allows them to see through time.

I just finished my read of Joker - Killer Smile and I was expecting something like Batman The Imposter and what I get is the most boring shit you can imagine.
I just don't get lemire or he is really bad?

You need to check out Gunslinger Spawn, it's the best Spawn book that's being released currently. Only problem is, you sort of but not really need to be caught up with 325ish issues of regular Spawn, as well as The Scorched. There's also King Spawn, but you can honestly skip that for now.

Spawn gets super convoluted and nonsensical at some point (arguably from the start), also later down the line you see some of Todd's liberal biases (featuring BLM protests in a few issues, however not making them the focal point), Donald Trump has been replaced by a demon and the third TV show host from the exposition pages has always been a demon because muh conservatives. Not really a substantial spoiler, I hope.

However, even given these things, it's the best superhero comic for me coming out right now. The Toddfather doesn't push an agenda, he just wants to draw cool heroes and heroines do cool things (even if it sometimes doesn't make sense). He's also been honest about the industry, for example how DC refuses to have gun accessories for action figures produced by McFarlane Toys.

I'll take a nicely drawn book with characters that aren't tainted by an agenda, even if sometimes its pretentious edgy nonsense, over a bisexual Superman or the M She U any day.

Todd’s always been…… off, but I still love the guy. Especially whenever him and Stan interacted, I always got the “Son I never had” vibes when those two interacted.

Todd has libshit tendencies (KKK plot and all Southern characters) but he’s an old-school libshit, the ones who wanted weed and “muh equality” rather than the right to saw your dick off and go in girl bathrooms.

Sean Penn, is the best example of an old-hat liberal clashing with the nu-school. I think Todd is in a similar boat, that “no guns” rule clearly pisses him off and you can get hints towards his true opinions on certain matters within the multitude of interviews he does.

Plus he doesn’t fuck over his customers, his current Spawn figures are beyond anything else in retail.

The globalist stooge who was in Ukraine putting together false flag footage for his overlords?

I don't expect everyone to be informed about everything but he's another Tom Hanks. Look into it.
I’m not denying that he’s a POS but that anti-tranny rant was most amusing and really telling.

“Weak genes”

I just discovered, bought and read Barry Windsor-Smiths 'Monsters' on comixology. A story of a young man turned into a Hulklike monster by a secret military super soldier project, and all the broken, tragic and horrific lives that intertwined to lead him to that point. Incredible art meshed with, IMO, a really well told story, let down slightly by a kind of ridiculous magical negro subplot and my own expectation that there'd be more superpowered antics than there actually was. In hindsight it's probably better for that. Maybe I could be scoffed at for this, but I think this is way up there as an example of what you can do with the medium. It knocks progressive activist, culture war grifter, and mindless capeshit comics into a cocked hat, anyway.
