Well, the guy speedrunning with one hand is pretty impressive in its own right, regardless of the game.

Halfcoordinated is a legitimately cool dude and his runs are great. I just wish they had someone like spikevegeta on the dono mic instead of this tranny manchild trying too hard to be funny.

All this forced laughter followed by wheezing and snorting into the mic is making me want to shoot myself

There's a normal person on the mic for now. It's actually a little odd because donation readers usually work longer shifts than that.

Was that an FTM that was on the mic for the first run?

Ohhhhhh, proto. Okay, I wasn't paying that much attention and it was just background noise.

MTF named protomagicalgirl. Been at GDQs for a long time.

They're exactly the sort of person you expect them to be

They're cutting it really close with the bits goal for Sonic Generations. Not very smart of them to assume people would be eager to choose the donation method that doesn't get them on stream and gives a chunky cut to Twitch. 500,000 bits is $5,000 USD so they would've smashed it immediately if it was a normal goal.

The bits thing seems pretty messed up. I'm not too familiar with the bits system but I found this chart that shows how big of a cut Twitch will take of the bits donated.

If 25,000,000 bits is donated, Twitch will donate $50k to Doctors Without Borders. 25,000,000 bits is the equivalent of about $250,000. So, Twitch walks away with $200k while only donating $50k? Sounds pretty ridiculous considering its basically a service charge.

This is Twitch reimbursing their cut of the bits - I figured they were doing something like this or else it would've been scummy. You buy them from Twitch and they take a little off the top, but the dollar equivalent of the bits you bought goes to the recipient. $50,000 is probably about how much they'd usually take from $250,000 worth of bit purchases.

He's also trying to get a global emote (BCWarrior, which was added to acknowledge a streamer who did a fundraiser for a breast cancer charity) removed, which is delusional because Twitch has never done that unless it's for copyright reasons (You have to sign away your rights to the image and coincidentally that's why WinWaker, Cosmo's emote, was deleted.) Even ANELE, TriHard and MingLee, the three emotes which are basically only ever used to be racist, are still there.

This GDQ has been completely normal so far except for this pants-shitting abomination trying to make it all about himself.

Update: Dan's emote appears to have been unblacklisted.
