Too many masks to tell accurately, could be 75% chanceOnly 50%?
You can clearly see he's having the biggest boner of his life based on his grimace alone. Imagine forcing thousands to see your disgusting belly while wearing a cropped, there're very few things in the world that can give a tranny a bigger rush of adrenaline than that.
Funny you bring that up. I noticed as the years went by and GDQ deteriorated that they slowly started removing games that pretty much everyone is familiar with. The year they quietly removed Super Metroid from the schedule and ended the "save vs. kill the animals" bidding war was when I noticed the trend because that bid war alone would always raise tens of thousands of dollars every year because it was a tradition, yet they were willing to cut it from the schedule? It's never been featured again in the years since. I think when GDQ started pandering more toward troons this also came with the caveat that these talentless deviants just aren't skilled at the games people know. Super Mario Bros, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda and so on the people who have the fasted times in these games -- the people who are the best at them -- aren't troons and the troons who do run these games have piss poor times that aren't worthy of being showcased on a platform such as GDQ so they had to start filling the schedule with shit nobody's ever heard of because these low-hanging fruits are where the trannies all wound up congregating. In other news, 47k watching right now Tape to Tape, a game I've never heard about. Probably a troon without the skills necessary to run a famous game.

While I absolutely think trannies infest everything and crybully everyone else out until there's nothing left of value, I can't even blame this one on trannies because Cosmo and Sig had some of the most entertaining runs in the history of the event. Even back when the tranny psyop was just getting off the ground GDQ was already bending knee to the wokemob to the point that good runners just didn't want to be involved anymore.Funny you bring that up. Hey the protomagicalgirl strategy. Be the only runner for some shitty obscure games and an absolute nobody at everything else. It's not very hard to be a super talented speedrunner when you're the only one speedrunning games literally nobody else has ever heard of.
I think there was an analysis video on how AGDQ started falling apart that pointed this out.
You need to balance it out with this. Again, I don't think every game that's run needs to be super popular, but if there's literally nobody else running the game, it's worth taking into consideration. IMO, dedicate a block (or maybe even several blocks) for shorter, obscure games. You don't have to bury it completely, but it's not going to be a primetime thing either. Call it the Showcase block or something. It's not very hard to be a super talented speedrunner when you're the only one speedrunning games literally nobody else has ever heard of.
Because anyone with half a brain knows that involving themselves with GDQ means they are going to be perpetually surrounded by the worst people you can imagine and on top of that they'll be walking on eggshells the entire time they are there. Why bother? Why take the risk? Everyone's jumping ship to ESA now because for now at least the ESA organizers aren't choking on girldick.GDQ just isn't a place that real runners care about and it shows.
That's just symptomatic of the bigger problem: The fact that they've pushed out most of the runners of the top, actually interesting to watch speedgames with their troonery nonsense, thus leaving the event having to settle for a bunch of nobody troons and drones who will ONLY fill the schedule with obscure games that nobody else cares about. On paper, I don't mind more obscure games being run. You can't just repeat the same run year after year, especially when a lot of games have more or less been solved or there's only been minor advancements in the run. But I think there are some ways to mix things up, things like races/relays or changing the category.
Buuuut....

The bigger issue is how lifeless a lot of runs are, and part of this is from new, inexperienced runners who are running obscure games, but it's a greater part of the GDQ no fun allowed commentary or picking people with zero charisma based solely on their pronouns.
And this is partially why, too. Everyone who got pushed out or was starting to have their reservations about GDQ (probably as early as NASA's premiere and ESA's growing popularity) realized that they could just foster an audience on their own, without having to rely on GDQ exposure.GDQ just isn't a place that real runners care about and it shows. Shitty games, shitty runs, shitty couches, and so on.
The real problem is that people can find better speedrun content much easier than waiting for GDQ. If you want to watch a shitty speedrun, there's shitty speedruns all over Twitch/Youtube 24/7.
Not to mention that GDQ makes you pay your own way. You pay for your own hotel and travel, which for some runners can be hundreds of dollars.Because anyone with half a brain knows that involving themselves with GDQ means they are going to be perpetually surrounded by the worst people you can imagine and on top of that they'll be walking on eggshells the entire time they are there. I miss peak cow era, its just so boring now.GDQ is no longer interesting. They removed all the closeup camera placements of the crowd. You're not seeing golden moments like this again and the only reasons to jump into a gdq thread on /v/

The /v/ GDQ threads are being hammered by some butthurt tranny jannies that lurk the thread giving site wide bans for offtopic or "trolling outside of /b/" for the most milquetoast posts.
