You haven't touched upon how the Star Wars' Empire always loses to the WH40K's Imperium. Since to them, Palpatine, the Empire and white humans are more evil than anything in WH40K. So every single time a vs. debate is done between the two. All of the Star Wars xenos and (nonwhite) humans of Rebellion go traitor and ally with the IoM. Once the Empire is defeated, the SW traitors always go surprised Pikachu face when the IoM go full exterminatus on their treasonous arses.

I'm surprised this happens, considering the rule about "don't hate fictional minorities, goy!" of SV and sometimes in SB.
Speaking of: I found a quest in SV about being a producer of Sonic stuff. I expected lots of autism and possibly some funny stuff. I snoop around and one of the pieces of fanart is Male pregnancy bullshit. Fortunately, it's a shitpost showing nothing, but the fact that it's there is a bad sign. Either way, it reminded me why I ditched SV.
 
I decided to browse the whole fanfic subforum for more cringe shit to add for that and I think I have found something that might be interested here-Self Insert Fics. Which are basically as described, someone writes fanfiction in a setting but now he's either a character or just himself in the first place. Presumably to do as spacebattlers do and make a power fantasy out of uplifting or changing the setting. And there is quite a bit there as well. I don't believe it's the only place where one can find that shit but I don't really recall seeing it on any of the other fanfic sites.

The one really egregious one is building a canal in A Song of Ice and Fires. People really don't seem to understand how many tens of thousands of people die making just one of those things.

Tbf people also think "Panama canal" (50 meters wide, 16 deep) and not "Briare canal" (6-10 m wide, 2-3 m deep).

The second is far more doable with medieval organisation.

The whole “being open minded is the gateway to chaos corruption” thing in 40k really gets their panties in a twist because it totally shits on their real world politics. And they can’t have that even in a fictional setting.
 
It's a interesting attempt, they at least have a good chance of getting content to start growing. However I expect it to turn into another circlejerk of Whig Historiography and endless power fantasies about killing the chuds.

I do legitimately wonder how this will turn out, AH definitely needs some competition from what I have heard though I do not go on that site to be honest. I am keeping a close eye on it for anything to laugh at.

Apparently AltHistory is on the newest version of XenForo, and they are using it to help gain experience on upgrading SB to the latest version.

No idea if you need a account to see whitehall, but I guess you do. If you don't feel like making one here is a decent summary:

- First post was made at 4:02 PM by some random dude, not on whitehall
- Thread moved to whitehall, OP banned from his own thread and given a Whitehall warning
- It took all of 3 posts for the first grave dancer to show up:

- On the very first page they already brought the argument bout Utah having lax gun laws and Kirk saying 2A is worth it
- While the guy shown there at the top was banned, right after him another guy says almost the exact same thing and isn't banned.
- Thread had friction mode enabled while it was open (posters can only post once every 15 minutes)
- Thread locked after 12 pages on the 275th post


Analyzing the actual volume of posts however shows some really interesting data. It took over about 3 hours for the thread to get 275 posts. Even accounting for the thread fricction mode that is some really leisured pace of posting, especially when you compare the userbases of Spacebattles and KiwiFarms. We have half the number of users and guests at the moment but our thread on the shooting reached that number of posts in less than 20 minutes.

As such I can safely conclude that Whitehall is a dead shitlib circlejerk zone, where no one but extremely commited and die hard globohomo supporters dare post or engage, abandoned by the vast majority of Spacebattles' users who just wanna grill read WORM fanfics and engage in poawerscalling debates.

Problem is those people are also the mods. So every bit of thought outside of Whitehall still runs the risk of being policed by that mindset.

Have to have an account to go in Whitehall, Secondly it depends heavily on what they're politically sperging and seething over. As their hate Trump, America and American threads get a lot more traffic and postings over stuff they would rather memory-hole like Iryna Zarutska being murdered by one of their DNC's pets.
