I used to play this quite a bit on a server that was basically a copy of the TG server. Fun times.

Space Autism is the correct description, along with fun paranoia and robust combat mechanics.

The best fun was had by signing up as clown or chaplain, then obtain a full access ID, followed by sneakily fixing things and breaking into places for fun. One time doing this I stumbled on a traitor and managed to kill him by breaking a window from space, he suffocated in the shuttle.

It's a hilariously fun game with the right group of people. Over time it's doomed to collapse into petty community infighting, but it's a fun ride.

I used to play a lot of /tg/station until they started removing a lot of fun shit.

Still log on every now and then to inject cigars at the bar with welding fuel/plasma

If prions are an obtainable thing on that server please mix some in to the welding fuel/plasma/gunpowder for me? Burn their face off and leave em laughing about it!

The best thing was hacking ridiculous laws into the ai, or playing the ai with said ridiculous laws

Law 0: There must be monkeys.

Uhh.. hmm... "Crew, we seem to be experiencing a monkey shortage, and remedying it is more important than keeping you alive so... Cyborgs will be arriving shortly to turn you into monkeys. Thank you."

The whole thing with the ai and borgs having to follow their laws autistically is half the fun, and half the cause for community infighting.

The best part of playing the AI was always monkey's pawing the traitors who changed your laws.

The part that amazed me was that I didn't really believe the whole spark near gascan was going to work, took me sparking the blown out bulb several times and it was about 2-3 tiles away, the shock of course was when it did and then blew up the giant canisters in addition.

SS13 is good. Pure unadulterated autism, but it's a fucking blast considering how dated it feels at times.

Honestly I hadn't played it since the early /v/ servers in like 2012 or something like that (can't exactly remember) until I saw Null mention it on one of his streams a while back and though "holy shit, that game still has people playing? I forgot all about that. Gotta download BYOND and check it out again".

Unless it was a larper, I think I volunteered for an brain surgery by a certain infamous doctor at one point. That was fun.
I need to learn some new jobs though.

Best role to learn the game is janitor. Just keep the floor good and soapy around the shuttle, so everyone leaving will see how good you are at your job.

One of my favorite games of all time. It's great to have a game that gives you all these tools and just slackens the leash so everyone can do what they want within reason. You can be dedicated to your job or slack off and just mess around, but you still have to keep an eye open as the whole station can turn into a fireball in a moment's notice.

The greatest round I ever had was getting lost in an alternate dimension due to a science portal accident with some randoms and trying to figure a way out.

Was it on Goonstation? Cause there is like 4-5 places you can go and one of them is this notoriously complicated puzzle nobody had quite figured out, at least at that time.

I think so, yeah. The place had spooky music and I think their were skeleton monsters in the hallway and weird monster eyes floating in the abyss.

That definitely sounds like the Solarium puzzle, least from what I remember. I kinda remember the skeleton monsters being in the Cave area where the Ancient Armor is. You know about the Ancient Armor + Obsidian Crown thing turning you into a Lich right? Like you'll loose a shit ton of life wearing them together and it'll kill you quickly without meds and after you die your body stays around rampaging through the area they are in beating the shit out of everybody in their path. It's pretty awesome.

Never heard of that! I think I've seen someone else do it, though. I remember their was an area to the left of the map where there's a bunch of meat walls or something weird like that. It was a maze. If we're talking about the same then then that's probably where the lich stuff is at. We died while trying to explore that place.
