The first Space Jam was a kind of a weird semi-autobiographical retelling of how Jordan retired and unretired from basketball. I always thought that was one of the more interesting parts of the movie. It helps that MJ isn't a complete retard like LeBron irl.

I'm not going to deny that Back in Action had some damn good jokes and moments in it, but I was expecting more from Joe Dante because Gremlins 1 and 2 are two of my favorite movies and he's a hardcore Looney Tunes fanboy. It should have worked, but it just doesn't. Unfortunately he was given almost no creative freedom due to WB being ran by dipshits like usual and he hated working on it. Even pre-JUST Brendan Frasier looks like he doesn't want to be in it. I'd still watch it over Space Jam 2. Weird how both movies take place on the WB studios lot.

Gremlins 2 is a better Looney Tunes movie than Back in Action. It's like you said, it should have worked, all the pieces were there but it was just off.

He was bad (he hadn't played since high school, and he had either not learned or was never taught about a lot of things), but he showed steady improvement throughout his time playing baseball.

What @SteelPlatedHeart just posted is the most I've ever seen of it. For me that was Space Jam 2.

I was also waiting for someone to get back to Daffy's roots. The rest of what I saw of BiA convinced me that Joe Dante wasn't it.


Ironically, 'guys in basements' looks like the target audience for New Legacys memberberries.

It's strange, because as Express and Bruno mentioned, he seemed to get it in Gremlins 2. Opening animation nonwithstanding

To be honest, the fact studio interference did that really confirms my theory that Warner Bros is probably a movie studio that has possibly reached levels of stupidity that makes Sony look like Steven Hawking. Most of their 2010 film outings they put a lot of investment in are based on really dumb ideas and are out of touch.

The best example of Warner Bros being stupid is that they made a green lantern movie because they thought people loved the 2008 Iron Man movie solely because of the plane sequence.

Hell I won't be surprised they'll blame 2D animation for Space Jam 2 not doing so well as Warner Bros is known for blaming dumb shit for their movies failing far more often than other studios.
 
I was upset to see Back in Action is not on HBO Max since I wanted to revisit it.

I was also surprised, as they have the original Space Jam and all the Looney Tunes shorts on there, so why not Back in Action?

Likely one of two things, one WB has licenced it out or two it's planned down the line but they are spreading their backlog of content out so something new every week without meaning they have to spend huge amounts in creating new weekly content at this point of HBO Max's growth and when it's still not in many counties. if it's the second one could also mean a 4k remaster for around that time as well.
 
On a side note, I was also sad to see the really underrated Cats Don't Dance is not on HBO Max either.

Rick and Morty are huge sellouts so I don't know why people feel like they need to defend it.

I still remember that shity Pringles advertisement, the point is that this is nothing new.

Also they are kinda right but I don't understand how it would be an advertisement for Rick and Morty, maybe it's a HBO Max thing but still I don't think anyone would decide to watch the show because they briefly showed up in the movie. (Also this is a kids movie at that)

They're different because you're only seeing them for a ten second cameo, not a 22 minute episode. Guess this dude was desperate for those autistic clicks.

Also, I hate that animated LeJames Bron also has a neckbeard.
