I have not yet watched this movie, but I fully intend to. My guess for the necessary "tragic villain backstory," was that LeBron James is a shitty dad, who neglects his son. His son wants to be a programmer, something he's good at, but LeBron pushes him to play ball, which he hates. So LeBron Jr. created Don Cheadle-Bot 5000 to kidnap him and force his dad to finally pay attention to him, and in doing so, would make LeBron James realize how talented of a coder his son is, and allow to follow his dreams of being a turbo nerd. Also, the Looney Tunes are there for some reason and they have to play basketball against monsters. Maybe the AI Cheadle goes rogue, and instead of simply tweeting racial slurs, he turns the fake kidnapping into a real one? Sounds like that's not what happens at all, and instead of a heartwarming story about the bond between father and son, they went for this abomination. Again, I haven't seen it yet, so if I actually got any of this right, please tell me
