I had almost all of those plushies back in the day. And I remember the action figures that were in toy stores as well (and I remember them being surprisingly good quality, too).

I'm so conflicted I want to support more 2d/animated films, but this looks like a soulless flex of Warner IPs, and half of it isn't even traditionally animated anyway.

Don't feel too bad. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train had a lot more integrity than this fucking thing, and it easily held its own against WB's Mortal Kombat reboot despite being in half as many theaters. I think that proves that people will go to the theater to watch pure, unmolested 2D animation, just so long as it's not a shat out waste of time.

What's coming out is a fucking complete reboot that's early advertising and title mildly hints at it being a sequel, much like ghostbusters 2016 was a complete reboot but early trailers made shit confusing and treated it like it was going to be a sequel movie.

All it's missing is the studio and media calling everybody that dislikes it or is generally wary of it racists and sexists.

Thankfully, they left Seal and R. Kelly’s original songs alone. The soundtrack was just filled with what people think Billboard‘s music executives and/or LeBron James listens to.
