It’s not exactly the same situation since it was to have the original actor back, but Disney did the same thing to Dan Castellanetta for Aladdin and the King of Thieves after Robin Williams decided he would return to voice Genie.

Going even further back than that, the original voice actor of Judy Jetson (Janet Waldo) recorded her lines for The Jetsons movie from 1990.

Then during production, pop singer Tiffany was brought in to play Judy Jetson despite sounding absolutely nothing like the original voice.

Time to test how much cringe you can handle.

Now that's some CRITICAL cringe.

They really are going all out with the "how do you do fellow kids" factor. Also it looks like the rabbit girl has tits and a midriff in this scene. Would be pretty hilarious if it turned out that her design in this scene was completely redone just to win back the furfags.

Looney Tunes always parodied the culture of the time, so in theory nothing wrong with them doing a piss-take rap, Issue is they are trying to do a legit rap and secondly they use Porky Pig the everyman character of the Looney Tunes. In fact, Looney Tunes have always done joke songs

It just doesn't feel like a joke just more so look at how hip we are. Compare to any of the clips in this, where being funny was the goal

Hell the first Looney Tunes (Merrie Melodies?) were just straight up music videos with just the barest semblance of a plot
