To me I'm pretty sure this is a giant promo for either HBO max, or a soft attempt to revive IP to a current audience so they can continue to desperately avoid making new IP that lacks any legacy.

I just want Charles Barkley to make a cameo and start cracking on the big ol' women from San Antonio who wear bloomers instead of Victoria's Secret drawers, because they eat churros all the time. The salt from that would be hilarious.
A brief clip of Chuck's previous comments for the uninitiated:

If I was making Space Jam 2, I wouldn't have gone with a Ralph Breaks the Internet rip-off and would have instead tried to insert subtle references to Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden without the WarnerMedia execs noticing.

Kinda surprised they didn't include the non-WB IPs featured on HBO Max then, like Star Trek and Ninja Turtles. I guess they wanted to be as cheap as possible with this and not pay Paramount anything. Then again it isn't that surprising considering the quality of the 2D animation.

Anyway, putting these side-by-side...

That's definitely Kobe-3PO.

Looks like Speedy got de-cancelled.

How do we know he was ever canceled in the first place if it doesn't even look like he has an actual role to play in the film? Almost feels like all that virtue-signaling was just to appease the mob before quietly wheeling out the actual product.

Time now for another rousing game of Where's Waldo but with locations...

It looks like this is the planet for the Matrix franchise.

Jetsons Land/Orbit City. Saw the Flintstones/Bedrock planet too somewhere in there but its hard to get a screenshot.

The Maltese Falcon planet. Early trailers showed one for Casa Blanca so I guess there will be multiple Bogarts.

I'm guessing this is planet DC.

And everyone already saw the shitty GoT planet and Oz.

So I guess Harry Potter shit is confirmed.

Some say they saw Dumbledore in the crowd. If they have him make out with Gandalf I might as well just eat led now and get it over with.

And apparently this is the Heath Ledger Joker.

Cancelled as in WB removed his shorts from airing on tv for racism, until League of United Latin American Citizens told them to fuck off and put them back on as Speedy is a cultural icon to them.

Isn't that the most yuppie white liberal thing ever?

They cancel something thinking they are defeating racism and don't have any idea how the culture actually feels about that thing in the first place.

I hope that this movie gets so “good” that Disney makes an unironic Pooh’s Adventure movie, I want to see that level of autism introduced to fucking normies
