Does the original Space Jam hold up?

I'm starting to wonder if all those Pooh's Adventures autists invaded Hollywood.

Edit: Just noticed T-posing Space Ghost hovering above King Kong in the preview. Jesus Christ this movie.

Either he is establishing dominance over this CG fuckness fest or trying to invoke to holy spirito to cleanse it.

The original Space Jam website is dead. Replaced with the new trash fire.
RIP.

The last of a generation. Couldnt they at least have updated it for the new movie? What a misopportunity

I just noticed that not only are the Droogs from Clockwork Orange in the background, but Mama Fratelli from The Goonies and Night King from Game of Thrones as well

I want to keep scouring the preview for additional innapropriate/pointless cameos, but I think that's exactly what WB wants us to do -- a kind of "so shitty you HAVE to see it" strategy. Also, Mama Fratelli but no Sloth. :(

Only thing I managed to get out of this Space Jam 2 trailer was:

You miss me yet?

Why is it just black Ready Player One?
Also how does mixing animation with real life get worse since roger rabbit

It makes sense since I don’t know anyone that actually liked Ready Player One. Only review I ever received was a movie that was trying too hard to show you how “nerdy” Hollywood could be, but not caring that much about what makes one a nerd.

As awful as this movie is probably gonna be, I think it's gonna be one of those movies that's amazing to watch while stoned.

And China will continue to laugh once they gain more billions to make Hollywood more irrelevant in the future.

I guess it is a win win.

We knew it was coming, the last decade or so has been one long string of drawn out death rattles but I think we have to face the fact that Cinema, as a medium, is now officially dead. It had a good run, but there's nothing left.

lol

"Veteran Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies director Chuck Jones was critical of the film. In a 1998 interview, he expressed his views that the film was "terrible" and said, as a man who worked with the characters for almost thirty years, the story was deeply flawed. "I can tell you, with the utmost confidence," he said, "Porky Pig would never say 'I think I wet myself.'" Jones also added that, had the film been more true to the source material, Bugs Bunny would not have enlisted the help of Jordan or the other Looney Tunes characters to defeat the Monstars "and moreover, it wouldn't have taken him an hour and a half. Those aliens, whether they were tiny or colossal, would've been dealt with in short order come the seven minute mark.""
Poor Chuck was right all the long.

Oh dear God.
We're in Hell

So really just pluck whatever's in WB's catalog and call it a day.

Again Fucking Night King in this children's movie, but no fucking Pepe la Pew. Fuck SJWs!!!!
How I feel, poor Pepe.

It's weird that these huge multi-media corporations have to keep showing us what entertainment properties they legally own in films. It's a very strange flex that the CONSOOM crowd seems to eat up. Funny enough Toho and Universal beat these fuckers to the EU punch 60+ years before any of them attempted it, and in a classier manner.

I'm beginning to think that the push for these crossover movies by big studios is almost purely just to show that they're using their IPs, even if it's something as meager as characters from them being background characters in a larger film.

Nothing but forced crossovers which are just ways for studios to flex their Hollywood muscles.

Also seeing how shitty the villain team for this movie is almost makes me miss the fake /tv/ leak team.

Hot take: I don't think this movie would've been any better with Kobe instead of LeBron. I feel like it would still be embarrassing no matter who stars in it.

Yup. I'm going to pirate this and get as high as my body can take. Give the first Space Jam some credit, it only animated MJ in a cutaway if he was enslaved by the Monstars. Lebron animated for longer than a moment is off-putting.

Looney Tunes got its name from trying to be "wackier" than Disney's Silly Symphonies. It was more about silly music than silly cartoons back then but these days both elements made them memorable. Though I'll admit to panicking a little when I heard "Those Endearing Young Charms" on a piano irl years ago.

Doesn't help that the animation director for this movie is the same guy who directed Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Oh barf. Well at least it'll produce some funny albeit horrifying animation memes then.

'member Ready Player One, Wreck It Ralph 2 and WB shit: The Movie!

No wonder nobody watches movies anymore.

Yeah the original Looney Tunes was about selling music for WB as they owned a sheet music business back in 1930. A lot of those early cartoons often had the song title in the name. The sort of history that got lost over time.

Might as well play Where's Waldo with this shit.

Well damn it. Looks like the /tv/ leaks were half right...

The Mask even has the striped referee shirt. And no Tim Curry Pennywise in sight... (:_(

Is that the Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin?

From what I can tell, it looks like the Herculoids, Batman Forever's Batman, Adam West Batman's Robin, Catwoman, the Penguin and his thugs, Jack Nicholson's Joker (at least they got the best one...), and the gang from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Some random knights too and some white tall guy with a big staff.

Tim Burton's Penguin too is there alongside Adam West's Penguin, also Agent Smith from the Matrix, Lion-O and Cheetara, more HB characters, and some yeti-looking fuckers. Most of the crowd also seems to be made up of generic real world people which is the section where Lebron's family is watching from.

A few are claiming they saw Detective Pikachu but I still haven't seen anything.
