PS3 has a bunch of games that never went digital, it has the opposite problem.

Most of what was digital only on PS3 is tied to PSNow or it's either getting a PS4/PS5 port or it's getting a whole physical re-release.


Vita is in a similar boat but they had limited releases of games like Severed and Tales of hearts R where it's easier to get the digital version than physical.

Can't exactly say about the PS3 itself but as far as I recall, the NoPaystation database is incredibly low on PS3 games/DLCs from the PSN. The download for RGG Isshin on NPS is busted and I had to rely on nicoblog (rip) to get an iso there instead. I have no idea if there is anyone dedicated to share PS3 things like it's been the case for that canadian dude giving away all those Vita games across all regions.

Speaking of that, nearly all Vita games have been shared (it's mainly a bunch of DLCs missing out) but something like Soul Sacrifice Delta requires a online pass tied to your PSN account in order to play online (if that wasn't axed already) and unlock the additional contents obtained from updates. Online passes can't be pirated as they're PSN services (that were pushed for first-party games), not something alike of a DLC, and I don't know if someone made a homebrew plugin that can fool service authorization on the system.
 
and shameless double-posting but apparently Jim Ryan is calling back on the decision to shut down the PSN stores of legacy systems


Not that I would fully trust the bastard (especially coming from the same guy who claimed japanese ties were strong a few days before the official disbandment of Japan Studio) but assuming this may be true, this could give some breathing room to get the remaining stuff for piracy/sharing

PS3 stuff holds up though. What you aren't getting in the increased screen resolution is made up in sound performance and control, which are objectively not tied to graphical output. The plague of PS4's "HD remasters" was more or less ridden in a wave of timed obsolescence, much like how in the old days you'd buy queen's greatest hits and the beatles white album in the latest audio format. That is not to say I mind them. I never found a copy of Zone of the enders 1 on PS2 and it got a PS3 release, algonside the sequel, which was re-released on PS4 further. Same for Ico/shadow of the colossus. I've lost track of metal gear solid multipacks and god of war at this point.

Well honestly the series does need more diversity.

Look at all the different types of enemies Resident evil has in comparison to TLOU.
 
I mean, I've been on Playstation with with PS2 - mostly because until the Switch it's mainly been where the Weeb Shit is. In recent years, with more and more of said Weeb Shit going to the Switch, and Soyny going Full Retard more and more since relocating to Commiefornia, I've been touching the PS4 less and less, barring finally getting through my backlog. Shit, it's telling the only New Game I've played worth a damn is Genshin Fucking Impact.

Barring getting rid of the Wokeisms (because I know better than to hope for good things), I just want them to stop sending rejected movie scripts to their game studios. I get it, the movie division is a fucking joke outside of Spiderman, but
 
so with Jim Ryan backpedaling ive been thinking of getting a ps3... Ive heard the console is easy to jailbreak but will that fuck with my ability to get games on psn?
 
It seems like Sony consoles don't have "any games" and then they just remaster the good ones people waited years for on the next system. Thereby ensuring the new console "has no (new) games" either, just this rotating catalog of the classics. Is this fair? FF7R and Last of Us getting PS5 rereleases spring to mind.

That's a whole lost of bluster

I mean look at the PS3 for instance. It took years, but people were finally forced to admit that the PS3 has games once they were threatened with the idea of the games getting taken away.

Seriously though PS5 is getting Ratchet and Clank in June and they were supposed to get GOW at the end of the year but that was pushed back because the game apparently isn't done.
