@Vyse Inglebard another thing to mention is the ps2 slim hot damn that thing is awful from the overheating problem because the slim 7000x models not having vents on either sides which lead to the console overheating and not to mention another issue that's tied to the overheating problem being the glue that holds the ribbon cable slowly melts which results in the ribbon cable scratching the disc and the 9000x apparently adding two vents on either side but still suffers from overheating and can actually shut the console down if it overheats

Now you've opened up a temporal paradoxal gate because Visual Novels exist.

It's a whole part of their cross marketing tactic, lots of stuff that are games are getting anime series funded by Sony. The Anime series are not in place of the already existing number of games, they're just going to be added on top of what's already there.
 
The PS4 sucked, but I have some hope for PS5.

The PS3 was the best as it had tons of Sony IP. My favorites were that of Ratchet and Clank and LBP, but Twisted Metal was also god tier on PS3.

PS4 was too focused on trying to redo the Last of Us’s success, and it fell flat. Sony also destroyed most of their IPs to look more mature. The ones that did show up were pretty half baked such as R&C.

I will be honest, the 5 does give me some hope though. Astro is a great platformer, and it seems Sack Boy’s Big Adventure is good as well. Dreams was also really fun releasing last year. Then of course there is R&C which looks like it has taken steps in the right direction. If only Sony was bringing back Twisted as a game instead of a tv series, then I think PS5 could stand as strong as PS3 to an extent.

The Crunchyroll App already has around 3 million installs.

It's not being run by Playstation itself and it's being run by their anime companies. But Funimation and Aniplex are promoting all the japanese series that will have games on playstation, while playstation promotes the anime library that crunchyroll has.

It's the whole intermingling of branches that's being done. PlayStation isn't losing games at the expense of anime, it's just that they're now cross pollenating the two since they have similar audiences.

This whole thing is being orchestrated by the CEO of Sony itself and not Jim Ryan. Sony restructured awhile ago to prepare for this. The reason why Japan studio and other underperforming areas got axed was due to Yoshida's history of always axing underperformers and being rather cut throat. The assorted anime deal has given them exclusive access to dozens of japanese game studios, so there was no reason to keep Japan Studio around when it already got effectively replaced.

You can hear the people bitching about Idea factory and Marvelous now being brought to heel under Sony(Marvelous wants to put out the Fate Franchise since all that stuff is apparently heading west). Sony also now controls series like Neko Para.

Effectively VN fags are stuck with Sony, and before they go "BUT I'LL PIRATE!!!". Sony owns the merch rights to the series, so they'll get a cut unless you're happy with chinese KO's of anime merch statues.

Their game got leaked, Sony later closed the studio after it became Studio Liverpool and the remnants later made new companies that became part of sony's external development.

I've even posted about the story myself.

Most people remember Psygnosis for Wipeout or their habit for using Roger Dean art for their game covers.


I thought you people would be trilled with what's happening with anime, especially since many are fans of NTR stories.

Switch is filling the hole not just for the Vita but also the 3DS.

And the genius of the Switch is the fact that you can well, Switch, for me I've always favored playing games on a TV than a handheld (I have that adaptor for the GameCube back in the day that let you play GBA games on your TV), which is why I never bought a Vita or a 3DS, but now I can play any Switch game on my TV if I want to do so.

Nintendo really did make a genius move with the Switch and I think it's only going to get better from here as eventually a more powerful Switch successor will come out.

Disagree because the 3DS was doing good and quite frankly, Nintendo's always made big bank off BOTH a handheld and a console and that merging the two just seems fucking retarded, given that they are now losing out on money having both a dedicated handheld AND a console.

There is no real fucking reason to have killed the 3DS except that they were so god-damn pissy that the Wii U flopped that someone panic and decided to sacrifice the entire portable division for the sake of propping up the console division and that stuff like the Switch Lite was 100% due to them realizing how badly they fucked up killing the 3DS and needing to keep the Nintendo handheld base who have stuck with them going all the way back to fucking 1989 and the OG Gameboy, from leaving and never coming back the second Sony/Microsoft realizes that the entire motherfucking portable market is now 100% up for grabs and rushes out an XBox Portable or PSP-Vita Reborn and do what the PSP and Vita utterly failed to do and wrestle total and complete control over the handheld market from Nintendo.

IIRC they are pulling a Lucas: the SJW poz shit contaminated and perverted TLOU into the mockery it currently is, when they did DLC and made the main character gay and other SJW garbage inserted into the premise. So now they are going to redo the first game to make her always gay and it not a forced retcon via redoing the entire story and inserting major elements of the BS plot from TLOU2 into TLOU1 for continuity and further enshrine the rape of the franchise by making the "special edition" version of TLOU the only version you can play in current year.

So they're retroactively turning a survival story into a woke fantasy after the "critical acclaim" of TLoU2?

That is how you ruin a franchise.

I respectfully disagree.

I can see your point but the dedicated handheld market doesn't have a future in this age of smartphones, that's why the Vita was never a huge success, Nintendo got by on brand loyalty but that wasn't going to last forever, the Switch makes more sense in my opinion.

Shame to see what I think is a great game get fucked in the ass like that.

It's sobering to think that from a storytelling standpoint, in the western games market, in the AAA sphere, 8 years later, story in games has yet to progress past TLOU1 because now the cultural climate thinks being "deep" means leftist political propaganda, hence TLOU2.

Gone is the ability to tell a real story featuring real characters and delving into real emotions beyond "Woke good" with the latest game technology, 8 years later and nothing has delivered a story quite on the level of TLOU1 did, now they want to retroactively wokeify it too, what is happening to our culture?
