You're getting trashcans but you're right. If the boycott did nothing or everything, the answer from "analysts" would be the same. Boycott did absolutely nothing, though. Sony is in the "too big to die" category short of an absolute wildcard event that bankrupts them, and I need to check my watch, but...

The silver lining of these too big to fail companies is that the entertainment we get from their hemorrhaging never runs out either. Sony will never die, but it'll also never stop walking into rakes.

The comparison is with respect to player-perceived realism, not technical capability, artistic quality, or the value of the investment overall. Studios don't get diminishing returns on things like art direction, world density, or performance stability from the same investment — those can still scale well. Also, stylized/non-photorealistic games sidestep this curve entirely since they aren't chasing realism in the first place.
good to know you retarded niggers need chat gpt to write for you and can't read what it actually puts out because it fucking agrees with me and brings up uncanny valley you can't just write shit like "Le the more realistic it is the more fake it is" because it's just a fucking contradiction and whether something is realistic or fake is perception and it's either one or the other you can't just say shit like "uhhhh... the more cold it is outside the more hot it is"

False equivalence; 'looks' is interpretive. It being a temperature outside is not interpretive. It feeling like a certain temperature outside is
He said looks twice, so is comparing two personal interpretations, presumably, and as such isn't a logical contradiction

I'll engage with the actual claim, but first: I'm glad to keep talking with you, but I'd appreciate you dropping the slurs — I'll stay engaged either way, just flagging it.

On the substance: the uncanny valley claim isn't a logical contradiction, because "realistic" and "fake-feeling" aren't opposites on the same axis — they're two different measurements.

  • "Realistic" = how closely something matches real human appearance/movement (an objective-ish, measurable similarity).
  • "Uncanny" / "feels fake" = a subjective emotional reaction of unease.

The empirical finding (from robotics/animation research, going back to Masahiro Mori in the 1970s) is that as realism increases, emotional comfort rises... up to a point, then it drops sharply right before reaching true photorealism, then rises again once something is indistinguishable from real. That dip is the "valley." So the claim isn't "realistic = fake" as a definitional statement — it's "in a specific realism range, higher fidelity triggers a stronger discomfort response," which is a claim about human perception, not a semantic contradiction.

Your "cold = hot" analogy would only hold if realism and perceived-fakeness were defined as literal opposites (like temperature is a single scale). They're not — one's a property of the image, the other's a reaction in the viewer's brain, and that reaction isn't monotonic. So it's less "it agreed with a contradiction" and more "it described a nonlinear relationship between two different variables," which is a real, well-documented effect, not sloppy writing.

If you want to paste the actual passage, I can look at whether it explained that distinction clearly or genuinely wrote it confusingly.

Just saw the end of sneederine.

There's a 40 minute Fallout The Frontier horror nightmare sequence with jumpscares and the ghosts of characters you knew for like five seconds blaming you for not saving them and trying to guilt trip you which doesn't work because you knew them for five seconds.

Also Mystique has a foid meltdown and during her spergout towards Logan literally says the most women thing ever.
You know what your fucking problem is? You just care too much!
Lol

At which point they might as well go out of business because Playstation is the only thing making them any money. Their electronics have been garbage for a long time, to the point that they've had to partner up with China to make televisions, and Sony Pictures was literally never good.
I’ve said it before, it’s less and less of a joke each and every time - So y Music is propping up this company like fucking Atlas isn’t it?

great for all ai can do it won't think for you i was the only one bringing up uncanny valley while starborn called it diminishing returns adding that "The realer something looks, the faker it" looks.
So the claim isn't "realistic = fake"
dude he fucking said "The realer something looks, the faker it looks." you can't just "erm actually it doesn't mean at all what it says"

Overall non-sequitur — none of it engaged with what I had to say; it's a pivot away from the topic

elite strat of vague posting about red herrings and missing something when you don't use niggerhell brimstone technology for ESL goyim to argue for you
I see you still have absolutely nothing to say but babble; The prior posts are still there showing you to be a fool. I'm going to ignore you, as you're not capable of discussion

I hope video games doesn't do this to people
