Saw the shill up review OF Wolverine because the fact that he's not shilling it is telling. Horrible IU that thinks you're a literal retard and a world design that for me is pretty meh. Is a shame because i do believe Liam(Wolv va) can do a good wolverine, just not this portrayal of wolverine.

I keked when I saw the the handholding is so aggressive that the various UI pointers and audio/visual cues will actually overlap and clip into each other.

That's genuinely kind of insane, I don't think I've seen it that bad in any other game.

It really doesn't. All of his games made money
Like him or don't, Kojima prints money.
The issue is for that printer to run you have to front load it with a lot of money, and given implosions like Concord, investors are skittish of loading 9 figures and hoping it works out.

Which is funny because if you take Ratchet and Clank for example, a game made for kids has better design, non-invasive ui and imo is 100x better than Soyverine. How could kid back then navigate without problem but in current year people need 3 different UI pointers to go to the end of a corridor. The future looks grim.

I have never gotten another Xbox or Playstation after PS3 and Xbox 360. This is the reason why.

I got steam and I got my switch. That's all I ever need.

Keep languishing in failure, MS/Sony peasants. It amuses me.

Gamers don't need them. The retarded DEI hires are the measuring stick here. They likely do.

Jeff Gerstmann's take on the Wolverine game. I love the intro because he starts praising stuff, and then at around 1:40
...the problem is the game. The problem is the video game part of the video game. The thing I've been kinda coming back to as a core concept here is that Wolverine is 5 hours of ideas stretched across 10 hours of video game, and it gets old fast. It's a lot of systems that you look at, and go like "these don't feel like they fit together" - there's too much reliance on parries, to the point where boss fights are so dependent on you parrying attack after attack, that it just...contributes to this monotonous feel.

As someone said in the comments, put that in the back of the box. 5 hours of ideas stretched across 10 hours.

It's like shareholders are niggercattle and shareholder economy model was a mistake.

How is Sony even a real fucking company anymore lmao. How does an Insomniac game get a 6 on modern day IGN? Like that game must be the nastiest dogwater money can buy.
Do we have a budget anywhere?

To pile on with this, it's because Kojima doesn't print money like some people are saying. Yes, they turn a profit, but they're cost heavy and probably require a lot of oversight and in-fighting.
Kojima is an intangible "goodwill" asset, for players, developers, and Hollywood (nowadays). You keep him for the same reason you keep any auteur around: they keep loyal nerds happy and then you don't have to rely on fickle normalfags to prop up your business.
Sony has never understood the value of an intangible asset like that, not even historically. The fact that Sony doesn't really have a mascot like Mario or Master Chief is a joke in and of itself.

"Don't fret Sonybros, we lost one exclusive pretentious movie-game but we still have another exclusive pretentious movie-game".

Wolverine getting so many middling to soft positive reviews is not good especially with Sony losing so much goodwill. The amount of handholding is genuinely insulting from the reviews I've seen.

Sorry, I've been out of the loop on consoles since the Gamecube/ps2. I would appreciate if someone could explain why sony is fobbing off a relationship with the literal only Playstation Dev I could name. This is the MGS3 guy right? Isn't that, and its series, one of the most widely beloved games of all time? It's like Microsoft letting halo go to rot and ruin in favour of making a new IP about babyshark or something. What the fuck?
Where do games come from? "When a mommy company and a daddy company love eachother very much..."? Obviously not, business partnerships happen because both sides agree the partnership makes financial sense. Sony dropped Kojima because they believe their partnership does not currently make financial sense. But Microsoft does? What's the deal? The most likely thing is that Sony's financials are bad enough right now that they had to choose between GTA and Kojima, and they chose GTA. Everyone knows that PHYSINT will almost certainly turn a profit (and cancelling a project for a tax writeoff is not a "get all your money back" button), but Sony needs big hits right now to get into a healthy financial position. Sony would have continued to support Kojima forever if Marathon sold 10 Morbillion copies because prestige titles are important for their brand even if they might not make all their money back.
