Makes you wonder how bad the production is going behind the scenes if Sony said 'nope, not this game' after funding Death Stranding.

It's totally possible that unlike the walking sim (which is retarded but enjoyable) the game is just a plain Duke Nukem Forever tier bad to play mess.

Xbox probably jumped in sight unseen the same way Sony threw money at him post Konami exit.
 
I want Kojima to direct the next Halo. I think it would good to have Kojima put codec calls in the middle of you fighting the Flood or piloting a Wraith.

Idk, seems like a better idea than what theyre doing to Halo now.

Why does this matter? Kojima has been making bad walking sims for the past decade. I'm not defending Sony so much as pointing out this is the exact same shit that happenes when Kojima got ousted by Konami. Kojima's last good game was MGS4 (arguably MGSV, but that still was adecade ago). Literally all he does is hang out with Hollywood retards and trannies nowadays and pretend he's a movie director.


The Death Stranding games didn't even sell that well. Sony still is a moviegame money pit, but that doesn't Kojima or his output in the last decade is GOOD. It also doesn't bode well for Microsoft or the new PHYSINT game really considering two comapanies have let him go in the past decade and the games he's made since are actual walking simulators.

Why are people still stuck in the console war mindset in 2026? There are no good console manufacturers at the moment but at the very least Nintendo isn't making shitlib movie games like Sony or turning their franchises into THE RAPED like Xbox. This is like when people were mad/gladcthat Halo was coming onto PS5 and it was abyssmal dogshit on all platforms. Like all thrse companies are shit at making good products and especially at making them cheap.

Surprisingly yes. Sony made a smart decision for once. Even fans of the first Death Stranding hate the second one.

I doubt the game was bad to play at all, just expensive. Sony probably didn't want to sink that much money into a game that wasn't already part of an established franchise, especially after Death Stranding 2 basically flopping showed that Kojima's name recognition alone wasn't the seller they thought it was

I’ve been building a console RPG collection as part of my media server. This is accurate, at least in terms of that genre. Once the PS3 hit we started getting Atelier and Neptunia shit, one after another. Meanwhile Atlus localized like 15 RPG titles on their own between PS1/2 and the PSP, and NIS did I think another 6 or 7.

I think this is the part people are over looking... Hideo Kojima without an Olympic level tard wrangler is a liability not an asset. He makes complete and utter shit for retards when left to his own devices and even threw a hissy fit when his walking simulator got its ass handed to it by real video games.

Metal Gear solid honestly should be attributed to the utterly cursed salary man that had to wrangle Kojima during its production otherwise it would just be softcore gay porn and nonsense.

I don't have a horse in the console race but this could very well be a rare Sony win.

It says a lot that the best and most comprehensible (in terms of story), fun and genuinely good Metal Gear game was Metal Gear Revengence, which Kojima only invovled himself with making a basic trailer for it and handing the project off to Platinum so they could make it not shit. They even threw out his script because they thought it was dumb and made the game stupid but grounded and kino like a 90s action movie rather than a bad spy film with retarded sci-fi jargon and nonsense plot points.

Somehow people forgot how MGS4 was a giant moviegame where Kojima was definitely phoning it in and MGSV was blatantly unfinished.

What I'm getting from this is that I won't have to wait over a year for Kojima's next game to be ported to PC.
