Sony is probably being more selective about their finances now after the fuckups that were Concord and the Bungie buyout. Kojima Productions is an independent developer while Insomniac and Naughty Dog are owned by Sony, so they might have seen Physint as the sacrificial lamb since it’s another expensive IP bet. Now was that a good idea….likely not. Kojima is getting old, so it’s possible that OD and Physint would be the last two games before he does film or whatever.

Its sad to remember that PS1-PS2 were the best that Sony has produced. At least you can still emulate those... and they have a massive library to boot.

As for Kojimbo, even if the guy is a diva in terms of requiring funding for stupid shit like the current year Hollywood he admires, still a bad look in general. Still, it is rather odd if they cut away from him due to funds considering Concord.

Unless said Killzone involves you playing as the Helghast and defending your home planet from the ISA... never gonna happen. Especially when Snoy is lodged in Commiefornia which is clearly fucking them hard.
 
Imagine being in a coma for 15 or 20 years only to wake up to find that Bungie got bought out by Sony and Kojima is now partnered with Xbox.
 
Remember one of the supposed reason for his Konami firing was kojima spending absurds amount of money on music. He commissioned 30 songs that never got used, licensed dozens of classic hits and the main theme, sins of the father, was worked on for over 2 year and cost Konami hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in the end people favorite MGSV song wasn't even in the game.
Sony is nothing but incompetent retards constantly shitting their pants but I can understand being annoyed with an autismo pissing away actual millions of dollars on just the soundtracks, not to mention thr cost of all the vanity star casting. Death stranding cost over 100 million and 2 cost upwards of 150-200 million, the first confirmed made It's money back but 2 only sold roughly 1/10th of 1 now that people understood it was a usps simulator.
The obvious answer to this is concord and marathon but that's retarded logic. Sony taking a risk on 2 games that where such gargantuan flops that it made them the laughingstock of the industry does not mean they should take more risk, the obvious choice would have been to cancel concord and marathon as well.
Will physint do better then concord and marathon? Uh yeah no fucking shit it will but will it make enough money to be worth all the money invested? Going by death stranding 2 maybe not.
To be clear I'm not defending Sony, they are retarded glue eaters who should be drawn and quartered, I'm just saying there's more logic to this then evil stupid company is evil and stupid. They still stupid and hopefully physint is a huge hit so I can laugh at them. It just important to actual see the reality of a situation, something Something devils avocado.

Reminder that them landing Kojima Productions was considered such a big deal that they gave him a whole bombastic intro for E3 2016
 
This is singly the most retarded movie Sony could make in the middle the whole shit-storm about them killing physical discs, you can like or dislike Kojumbo, but you can't deny in his sperginess he made literally one of the Sony gaming pillars, MGS3-MGS4 had production problems because this guy is too autistic and kept polishing even after later stages, he hold back on MGS4 because he saw people at later stages didn't know how to use Snake camo, and he keep introducing ways to show the player that later fucked up the builds thus missing release dates. As for MGSV people forget that much of that money "he burnt" was to make the FOX engine and Konami instead of using that tech, it got shelved or sometimes they use it for pachinkos.

DS1-DS2 were never gonna make a gazillion dolars because it's a niche game and mostly a tech-demo for PS5, Kojumbo is a westabo and somebody obsessed with movies, i guess Snoy didn't like the fact he tweeted about buying a shit-ton of blu-rays and supporting physical media. Also he actually knows how to make "movies" in terms on games while Cuckman tries so hard to be someone "respected" in Hollywood and it's shove away for being a total loser.

I know he's a hack who clearly just wants an HBO deal at this point, but with where they've been willing to torch the GDP of a small island nation on the repeated flops they've put out, this is where they decide to pinch pennies? And yeah, I know Kojima hasn't met a budget he can stay within in over a decade, but at least with him it's almost all upfront and not a recurring bill to keep the game online.

Good lord we're well past Sony shooting themselves in the foot, they're trying to geld themselves with a shotgun. Thank Fuck I've largely gotten off this ride...

The only issue was trying to justify it with lore, if you want titties in your game put titties in your game. Don't be a pussy and try to justify it, have ass and tittes because ass and titties are fucking dope.
