"We originally had you control left arm with left trigger, right arm with right trigger, but playtesters got confused so now it's just light/heavy attac
I guarantee you this is because when you have the camera facing in font of wolverine, they couldn't comprehend screen left or screen right.

To get back to ps2 era mechanics, RAD robot did something like this. the whole point of the game is that you're controlling a giant robot from the ground, and part of the challenge is getting used to the controls:

this is such a retarded time that we're stuck in ps2 era mechanics, but also ps2 era mechanics is too hard for people to understand.
a major advantage you have with what insomniac tried with R1 and R2 is you could've done some cool things with the camera like above. or build a combo system that depends on what hand is free/impaled.

I've been seeing some comparison videos popping up where it shows Wolverine: Origins next to Wolverine PS5 and I can't help but notice that in the Origins footage they always use the bonus costumes that act like "skin" on Wolverine and regenerate instead of his default clothes that didn't regenerate.

It makes me wonder if the comments about how his suits regenerate with him are getting to the devs/shills

- "Yellow paint?"

- "No, no, even more patronizing.

- "Hmm... How 'bout a trail of bright red sparkles?"

- "Perfect!"

Wow this is ass. I mean even outside the entire red line so toddlers know where to go, this is just lame.

I JUST PULLED THESE CLAWS OUT WITH MY FREAKING MIND!

And the one at the top was considered bad/mediocre, and was hobbled by the fact they had to reshuffle things midway through development to make it a movie tie-in game IIRC.
Origins is a great game that's only really let down by the terrible final boss fight against fake Deadpool. It's basically God of War with a Wolverine total conversion mod. Just compare the following section to the Subway Surfers footage currently being memed.

Want to dodge? Use your fucking eyes.
Devs really have turned soft this last decade or so. "Onslaught" is a huge word for whats basically words on a screen that this retarded sissies can just....idk look away or just not use the app?
I don't believe him. I think all the shit about them having to put suicide nets around the Insomniac building is just to rally slacktivists to defend an obviously over-hyped mediocre game.

Remember: If you don't buy Wolverine, the chuds win.
you just know a hulk game made by these faggots would have stealth segments lmao
The stealth sections would be any time you have to play as Bruce Banner, and they'd work like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 where you instantly die if you get caught.

You know, I wouldn't even be shocked if they did have actual suicide nets, like some Foxconn factory in chinkland, to deny the faggot workforce the sweet release of death.

Gotta crunch in the wagie cagie and make woke slop, forever.

Remember: If you don't buy Wolverine, the chuds win.
Leftists like to remind the chuds they're oh so smarter than us, yet they decided to pick a war where our side wins by doing literally nothing, and then gets to mock, bully and ridicule your afterwards.

I have nothing against stealth sections per se, so long as they're fun to play and serve a clear narrative purpose.

Sadly, mandatory stealth sections are rarely fun to play, especially if the game lacks proper mechanics to make the stealth gameplay engaging, or is made by devs that have no clue what they're doing when it comes to stealth.

Is it just me or are the X-Men character designs clashing with the game's photorealistic art style? The proportions for Sabertooth are all wrong, which would be fine if he wasn't so real looking. Logan has the opposite problem because he's way too mundane.

The woke aspect definitely adds to the uncanniness of this game. This is a true and honest Concord-like

Prediction 2: It's not going to do amazingly.
Spiderman 2 was a pretty sizeable drop from spiderman 1, and even then, it was HEAVILY padded by bundles. There are wolverine bundles, but 2026 ps5 sales are not comparable to 2023 ps5 sales. Spiderman 2 had a pretty overall negative reaction, and I'm seeing wolverine get plenty of negative reactions before launch, which wasn't the case even with spiderman 2. Superheroes have only continued to decline in that time, the only character that is truly immune to upward and downward trends like that is ironically enough spiderman. Wolverine definitely has some amount of evergreen status, but he's for sure no spiderman. Maybe I'll end up being wrong, but I see this one struggling a bit. They'll do every bundle they have to in order to get it over 6 million "sales" though, any less than that for any "big" marvel game, and disney has the right to pull the rights from them and force sony to reimburse them.
Call me optimistic, but WOW, this could be a disaster. I genuinely can't remember the last time I've seen negative reactions like this to a sony release before launch. Even something like concord, the average person hadn't heard of it until long after, they weren't the ones bazzposting, like the people making fun of wolverine right now are. I think it's going to struggle to naturally hit that 6 million finish line (which is still a LONG way off from actual profitability).

I love stealth games, but as you say they have to be fun to play and make narrative sense.

You could make Wolverine stealth sections work, he has literal hidden blades built into his body, but if there is any of that in the Insomniac game it'll presumably be as braindead as it was in Spider-Man (the actual Spidey predator sections I mean, not the MJ/Miles cancer).
Logan has the opposite problem because he's way too mundane.
I think he looks like Liev Schreiber, the dude who played Sabretooth in the Origins movie.

I assume this is the result of their insistence on using face mocap of the actors instead of modelling designs from scratch, because Peter Parker looks pretty plain jane in the Spider-Man games too.
