MS admits their Xbox One consoles have sold ~50 million, while Sony has sold 114 million as of 2021. Looks like Sony won the last generation.

Given Xbox One's initial launch with TV, sports, DRM and Kinect, I don't blame people for flocking over to PS4 over Xbox One. However, this generation may close that gap between Sony and MS. Especially with Game Pass and this Activision acquisition.

Sony is concerned about the latter and are playing catchup with PC ports and cloud gaming. Evidently, they've sold "20 million" PS5s as of June, but does that account for scalpers as well?

IMO, with Sony's current trajectory, they may have a harder time competing with MS (never mind Nintendo) in terms of console sales. Why buy a PS5 if their exclusives will be on PC at a later date?

I will give Troydan credit: at least he found games to actually play and kept his word on playing it.

Sooo how many of those games he played were purely exclusive PS5 games.....?
After watching most of the video, he said it played most of it at random. One’s guess is that he may have played only a few of them being exclusives. He said he played the games for only five minutes.

I'm torn on the whole 'Sony following Microsoft into making their hardware worthless.'
On one hand, I love the ability to have all of my games on one platform, not to mention the idea of modding (if Nexus ever gets their head out of their mangina) games

On the other, it feels really bad for the consumers to basically take the two biggest game markets, (steam and PS), and put them in the same basket.

With console shortages and parity between them and PC, it seems logical to have exclusives on PC.

Quoteposting my own post because I finally watched the video and this was the official list of PS5 games he played for this almost 1 hour video he put out:

From this list alone, it seems that 8-10 of these games were digital clones of the same game, where as there were only a few PS5 exclusives that cost roughly $2-$10 according to Troydan. Either way, most of the games in question show that Troy was a physical consumer all this time. He even went on to state in the video that he couldn’t even play most of the games in full (Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Spirit of the North, Greedfall, etc,) because the introductions to the game were about as long as the gameplay he set himself up for — he made a challenge to play a game for over five minutes, and in certain games, he went over the time limit for over 20-30+ minutes.

Overall, this was a huge mess of a video according to him. It seemed he was only comfortable playing the sports games, yet for the others, he chose not to try or pay attention to the tutorials.

Funny enough, though, he did like playing Stray.

That list is padded out due to the fact that within the first 10 items I could already spot the "also on PC" titles.

If he REALLY wanted to give himself a challenge, he should have ONLY played PS5 exclusives.

But that's a problem because he needs to actually make a video, how can you make a video on something that doesn't exist?

*plays that one car destruction game with the screaming black lady on the cover for 5 minutes*

"Well that's all fellas and fags, be sure to like and subscribe and SMACK the SHIT out of that bell and ill catch you niggers in the next video, bye for now"

>tfw it takes a fucking year being on a waitlist before a console is available
>a console with no fucking games
What the fuck even is their holiday lineup at this point? I know Spiderman 2 is 2023 and I legit don’t remember what else was even close to ready.

I heard the reason they got rid of the PS2 backwards compatibility in the PS3 was that those early models were super prone to overheating and cooking themselves to death. Still, they should’ve figured out how to improve the cooling system instead of stripping the feature out though.
Unfortunately can confirm. My OG Ps3 bricked about 3-ish years after I got it. There are multiple stores around me that do repairs, but they weren’t able to save it. Probably had something to do with the console’s arcane architecture.

I can do better, I will play the car game and Ratchet & Clank, which he somehow forgot. Really, you had one exclusive and you somehow managed to miss it, how?

No one asked but I wanna talk about my shit experience on PS Plus
My PS4 Pro has 2 accounts, My Account and my brother's
I claimed like shitston of games on PS Plus for free and then my PS Plus runned our, of course I can't access to those games unless I pay for it again
So I told my brother to go buy PS Plus card and activate it
Yeah it worked but there's one problem
He activated it on his account and not mine
So I can't access to my PS Plus contents such as free games, Online Savegame Backup
My brother's account had access to my PS Plus free games because he shares same PS4 with my premium account
But when my brother got PS Plus instead of me, I lose all access to those

Is there any chance calling Sony’s help line and explaining the situation could get it back on your account?

Truthfully, putting PS exclusives on PC isn't really a big deal. People that really wanted to play Spidey PS4 or God of War 2016 probably already did so in 2018 and 2016 respectively. Releasing these games several years later is solely to target the "I would play this but I don't want to buy a PS4 for just one game" market. Of course, Bloodborne would be the biggest no shit of all time to port for those people but...I guess they're just gonna let "industry insiders" claim it's coming for real this time.

Also, I think there are just people who don't want to play on a PC. They view it as a desk/work activity. You can hook up your PC to the TV but I think that's casual repellent. That's why I think the Xbox still has a market, especially for people with large 360 collections.
