Such verbal abuse about a delay was never a thing before with GOW.
What do you expect? These retards paid 800+ dollars for their PS5's a year and a half ago and the only reason to even own it is almost guaranteed to get delayed till next year.

I think it's more a factor of how dreadful the PS5 exclusive library is more so than any quality of Sony Daddy Simulator #3

Yes it's definitely everyone else who is coping and not you. PS5 isnt finished "this time" it's been dead all along, there is barely even a sign it was ever alive. The only time the software sales chart isnt 30 switch games is when PS4 games are charting. PS5's biggest releases at best hit a mid chart position for a week and then disappear forever. Everything you posted is irrelevant cope to the fact that it's dead in japan. If PS5 was actually owned by real people and not just scalpers, the software sales wouldnt be so shit.
We also have detailed hard data on retail game sales from Famitsu/Media Create (in the Games by Year section), that proves the whole "Japan only care about mobile shit and not console games" is nothing more than a propaganda machine by western Sony fanboys. Proportionally speaking, the total amount of game softwares sold (per # of game titles) does remain more or less the same as it was 10/20/30 years ago. And there is the unknown number of digital console game sales, so it's fair to hypothetically add a few millions more in the total yearly amount, for the more recent years.

Also the batsu (cross mark - X) and maru (circle mark - O) having their primary functions interchanged on PS5, without any means to revert back yet (so they could match the cultural connotations), is likely another reason for the console's failure in Japan

Honestly from my own personal experiences with having both a PS3 and PS4 at launch, it's been better than what those went through just because it had quality stuff and they've handled the generation handover gradually rather than a sharp stop. PS3's launch was the worst because nearly everything was shit and it took until 2009 for things to turn around.

Dude this is entirely wrong anyone who's aware of what Japan does knows they game primarily on mobile.

The Statista data shows that Mobile gaming revenue in Japan reached $13.4B in 2021 which was nearly half of the revenue of China in the same year. This is particularly impressive, considering the size of population and given the aging population in Japan in comparison to the scale of China.[//quote]
Japan's total game market size is around 20 billion which leaves a little over 6-7 billion for consoles. Mobile fucking dominates there.

TIL sarcastic shitposting is autistic screeching.

But a game that copies so much from Zelda as you say is deserving of an equally autistic screeching that a Zelda delay should get.
I don't know man, as autistic as Nintendo fans are, I don't remember anybody sending dick pics to their offices over delays for Metroid Prime 4 and BotW2: Skyward Sword Edition.

And if they did, it wasn't with the sheer frequency that Sony fanboys did for The Last of God of War: Part II.

>6-7 billion is nothing
Cope nigga. Way to completely sidestep what he said about console software sales staying the same too.

Except they really have not.

There was a noticeable decrease compared to the rise of smart phones back then and this was when the DS was reigning supreme. It has gotten smaller and ceded a lot of territory to mobile. Since then they have not regained the lost ground. What's happened is essentially segregation. People who would buy consoles for low end games or were not routine buyers have switched to smart phones.

The few times this was a thing it was always an outlier that went along with Nintendo systems.
I think it depends on how you classify them.

Mobile games have replaced a large portion of what Nintendo was doing during the wii era which were games that were low cost and low difficulty. Gacha has a very low entry fee but it racks up a higher cost over time. There's a bit of a psychological effect with mobile games where if you were to price a complete game at $10 most people would scoff at it, but a free or 99 cent game with 2-10 dollar currency MTXs are somehow easier to swallow because you've already invested time and then see the worth of these items that speed things up for the player or grant them more chances.

The mobile market is also mature enough at this point to where different demographics have arisen. And even now you're having games like Genshin Impact draw players over to consoles with similar mechanics to a Gacha game. Genshin Impact is free but was primarily played on Playstation when it came to consoles.

Around the time of the mobile game markets when they first arose that was when the Japanese console market took a big hit. It wasn't strictly due to mobile because other things like the economy played a part, but mobile games were deemed safer due to their lower cost to develop and higher rate of return. There was also the fact that systems like the PS4 only sold around a few million in Japan compared to the tens of millions everywhere else. The PS3 was the first system where this trend was very apparent and the PS4's reception in Japan was similar, because at the time the PS4 sold around it's 35-40 million mark globally, it had only moved around 2 million units in Japan. Now the PS4 would go on to sell much more and break 100 million units sold, but early on in it's life it was not doing all that great in Japan by comparison to the likes of other systems.

You can read the article of when they first moved, mind you corporate decisions like this are planned for years before they execute them so it's likely around 2014 was when they decided to make the move and 2016 was when it was solidified.

I love how @BananaSplit cited actual sales charts and you quoted a rando advertising company cooming about China.
Appealing to china, games as a service, NFT gaming, play to earn, they're all part of the same scam taking advantage of retards all chasing illusory growth
They'll all do as well as Ubisoft's NFTs and it'll be very funny to watch

It doesn't make the info any less correct. Japan's mobile gaming market is just that large.

and still completely irrelevant to your claims. PS5 isnt a mobile phone nigger. the size of the mobile market is completely irrelevant to the console market and PS5's failure in it
Sony made a console in a failing market just so they can fail and justify being a full time mobile developer. This is all part of the 15 year plan plebeian, this is why you don't own a PS5 and instead own a Nintando Swatch. Go play Breath of the Wild and suffer collecting every korok seed in accordance to gamer law or be thrown in jail for being a casual fake gamer.

You mean cross-platform games, right?

Marissa, I don't hate you, but at this point why do you still bother? You've got a skull thicker than Wolverine. I'll give you an S for standing your ground, and that's it.

don't give them any credit. they just haven't thought of doing that yet

Just read the Nintendo hate thread, and holy shit. Marissa has the ability to ruin a Sony hate thread by playing Sony Defense Force and ruin a Nintendo hate thread by going overboard in autistic Nintendo hate. I'm actually impressed.
I started reading the thread about somewhere around the halfway mark and in the beginning i often thought, Man, these guys are way too hard on Marissa. Cue to present day and, well... had some good laughs at the various posters who at first were discussing politely with him only to go full OH MY GOD KILL YOURSELF 10-20 pages later in their replies.
I honest to God hope he gets paid for his shilling, nigga is absolutely relentless!

Holy shit, Sony USA really did that to the JP consoles?! Talk about humiliation, no wonder the nips ain't buying shit. What happened to that menu setting from the PS4os? You could remap every single button without problems, did Snoy just cut that for no reason whatsoever? Those 2ch comments are *chef's kiss*

I always thought it was stupid that at some point, someone decided that PlayStation within the West needed to use X as the confirm button as opposed to O, despite a number of earlier games using O. Changing that back in like 1999 was dumb, changing it for Japan after they never had such issues for decades is ridiculous.
