I liked the PSP Go a lot. I bought one as soon as the Wololo hacks came out and didn't look back. The screen had the wider color gamut of the PSP 3000 model but without the weird scanline issue. The smaller size also made the pixel density of the low 480x272 resolution a lot more bearable.
Along with the GBA Micro, it's also one of the few legitimately portable consoles i've ever owned ie. you can throw this thing in a jeans pocket. Only downside was it felt a bit cramped to play, but that's naturally going to happen when shrinking everything down. The sliding design revealing the buttons was cool and I remember using the closed mode's novel bedside clock.
I'd say it was also kind of a proto-Switch. You could use a component TV out cable to play on the big screen. If you had a Dual Shock 3 controller, you could also sync that with bluetooth for comfier play. The Go is still a great way to play PS1 games in 240p to this day for these reasons:
Similarly to Vita, I don't see a world where the Go could have been a success, but with custom firmware Sony handhelds are some of the GOATs.
