Personally, I think Mike Pollock is a subpar VA with an extremely narrow vocal range, but he's absolutely made Robotnik his own. While he definitely doesn't have the tenure (or skill) of say, Martinet, this guy was made for Robotnik and I think even the retards at Sega know that. I doubt they'll can him just for a hot(?) take on Twitter that doesn't involve trannies or whatever. I mean, Chris "Crushing Trannies Like Boulders" Redfield is subbed to a meme like PragerU and he's not been fired over incorrect opinions.

At this point, I think even small names like VAs should just have some social media agency running their accounts with eyes on them. I mean, I don't know if the price is prohibitive enough that only celebrities are capable of having some shmuck (who's already on Twitter 18 hours a day) retweet fanart or point out anniversaries or make lame jokes, but at least it would give plausible deniability. If somebody fucks up and makes a statement on [CURRENT THING] with your handle and the lunatics on X start calling for you to be executed, you could say it wasn't you and the person responsible has been sacked (whether it's true or not.) Better version of the "I was hacked" excuse and doesn't require you to write out multi-paragraph apologies to the most insane people on Earth.

Didn’t IDW start doing the Sonic comic around 2017 or 2018 before that stuff kicked into full-swing? I think it has more to do with the fact that they’re all-but-confirmed to be lesbians, but the writers can’t canonize it because of Sega and had to sneak in the lesbian colors in a panel.

Sometimes I feel like Sega mandates aren't worth it with how they hamper basic storytelling (like sonic not being allowed to loose, official characters not allowed to cry, etc). But if the alternative is letting Amerimutt writers poz up the IDW comic, then so be it.

Sega doesn't have a problem with that part, though. The main problem is that they don't want to depict relationships of any kind in the comic (other than Amy's one-sided crush on Sonic) so it doesn't end up like this:

Ken Penders fucking loved Sonic and Tails getting cucked. He made multiple characters for those purposes alone. Penders was the canary in the coal mine for Sonic. Autistic Uber seriousness even when the most recent game was Sonic and Knuckles

Ngl besides ken and ian. I think they should bring back karl bollers to do some sort of special issue. He always knew what to do in the comics. He uses the Robotnik voice in everything. Because it's the only voice he does. I've seen a looooot of shitty anime and animated crap with him in it, and whenever Mike Pollock is involved, you can always tell within 3 seconds of him speaking.
