I hope the Last DLC update for Frontiers is good. But, I don't know I haven't really touched the game since beating the game at the end of last year even with the recent updates. I guess i just feel burnt out by the game. Maybe, if it is truly substantial enough I may come back to it.
If the different playable characters actually play differently I'll be somewhat interested.
I bought the game on release but didn't really like the layout of the open world or how empty and lifeless it felt and I really can't stand the idea of playing more boost style levels so I dropped it pretty quick.
I've been meaning to go back to it but it just hasn't been an appealing thought to me.

I see. I think I saw a leak of the characters moveset and looks like they'll be fully kitted out with their own abilities and skills which might make me want to return. I just hope they craft interesting new stages or challenges that will play into their own movesets.

Potentially cool. Maybe novel enough to give the game another shot.

The description seems to imply that they're 'finishing' the game with a No Mans' Sky-style post-release content update by redoing the final boss. I'd assume it's something akin to how the adventure games and 06 built up to the final boss with small gameplay segments of each character to grab the Chaos Emeralds.

Is anyone up to speed on this week's bogeyman in the fanbase, the Lange guy who made Sonic Utopia, and why people are getting up in arms over him? Seems like it's just because he said nigger a few times and the much more egregious crime of being an overbearing and 'harassing' fan project lead.

Yep saw some of that drama. Looks like a bunch of twitter zoomers just looking to drag someone because they are bored with nothing better to do in the free time they have.

That's what I got from the trailer too. I was thinking either they're going to redo the existing ending, or they're going to do like the adventure era games did and have a 'true ending' be unlocked when you complete all the character stories.

Just millennials or zoomers trying to stir up controversy on social media platformings for no actual given reason whatsoever. Who would've guessed?

I really just want a chao garden game. I feel like there's potential for a mobile or spin off game on switch where people raise chaos like the adventure games and have them do competitions and minigames. have seasonal events with seasonal items, unique minigames, or change the graphics to that seasonal time. if on switch or mobile, be easy to transfer chaos from one another and do multiplayer. Feel like there's potential of chao garden in modern era. Even if it ends up being sega's gacha game or some spin off game on switch. I prefer if it wasn't a gacha game, but I can see from SEGA point of view in it being one way to monetize it.

Sonic superstars looks like it'll be harmless game that people shouldn't be getting mad about, but then again it is the sonic fandom. I'm more wondering where they are going to go from Frontier. Frontier had a few right ideas in a 3d sonic game, that I could see them improving upon if they reworked a few things and expanded more diverse areas and content in a open world.

I've had the exact same thought and it baffles me that they haven't pumped a Chao mobile game out.
I do think Chao garden stuff is fun as an activity that you progress by playing whatever the main game is normally and yyou just choose to engage with it if you want, but since they won't do that they absolutely should turn it into a phone game.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if instead of building off of Frontiers, they just threw that out but kept the basics of the boost formula to shove into whatever game they make next. It's how they've operated for ages at this point.

so guys. the next piece of media related to sonic. gonna rewind back top the 90s when sonic was becoming sega's mascot.

back in the 90s, thanks to the success of the super mario bros super show in the late 80s and its sequel the adventures of super mario bros 3s in 1990, video game companies liked the idea of making cartoon adaptations of their games. during that same decade we got a bunch of cartoons of games we all enjoyed.

Super Mario World, ruby spears' mega man, cartoons of street fighter and darkstalkers, mortal kombat defenders of the realm, where on earth is carmen sandiego, rayman the animated series, donkey kong country, wing commander academy, double dragon, and earthworm jim.

but then sega entered the ring with their first cartoon of sonic.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. in 1993.

this was the first time for Jaleel White to voice sonic. which is one of his most famous roles to this day. prior to voicing sonic, he played steve urkel in the sitcom Family Matters.

Tails is voiced by the Christopher Stephen Welch.

Dr. Robotnik is voiced by the late Long John Baldry

Scratch is voiced by Phil Hayes.

Grounder is voiced by Garry Chalk. he later voiced robotnik in sonic underground. he also has a surprise cameo in the sonic's 2020 movie as one of the senators.\

and Coconuts is voiced by Ian James Corlett. he is famous for voicing Goku in Ocean's english dub of dragon ball z.

the cartoon also had sonic sez shorts at the end of each episode. where they tell kids some friendly and soft topics like reading, healthy diets, sharing, brushing your teeth, taking care of pets, wearing your seat belt, car safety, and calling 911.

but sonic sez also tackled serious topics. stuff like sexual harassment, respecting the law and courts, alcohol, gun safety, vandalism, peer pressure, false advertising, gangs, and smoking.

if you guys wanna check out the whole series. this is a playlist of all the episodes on youtube

the original sonic animated series has many classic moments. The only other sonic cartoon I can think of that had a hint of its humor would have to be Sonic Boom. The French really had a fun time making the show. Throwing shade at sonic fans and having episodes that could be literal Seinfeld plots.

My two favorite episodes from it, were the one where Sonic goes to sensitivity training after offending the townspeople.

The other being the episode dedicated to Chris Chan.
