I already knew I wouldn’t like it seeing who made it, but then the joke went on much longer than it needed to
You see the joke is rooted in how Omega is a mostly emotionless robot and Shadow is basically a stunted edgy teenager.

Ok, finished 06, I enjoyed it, its definitely not the best game in the series, but I cant say its one of the worst games ever made either.
Sonic campaign I thought was pretty good, some pretty good level design and after the fan fixes the gameplay felt fine.
I liked Silver's, it has more problems than Sonic's, but I think his mechanics have a lot of potential, its also fun to just breake the level design with his powers.
Shadow's campaign is by far the worst one, it has too much combat that just pad the levels and the vehicle segments are terrible.
Overall, I like it more than Shadow the hedgehog tbh.

Shadow's gameplay is the worst, but his story is arguably the most enjoyable. I found Silver to be the opposite and Sonic is just...Sonic. If you like him in the other 3D games you'll be fine here too.

Played about half of sonic rush, tbh its kind of bland, I think the level design is worse than dimps previews sonic games, the advance series.
Sonic Rush was around the time where the sonic community were starting to notice the flaws with DIMPS' level designs.

It wasn't until Sonic 4 when they all lost their collective shit and said "enough is enough"

Only positive thing I can say about both RUSH games is that a few of the songs are catchy.

Rush Adventure might have a slightly more intuitive stage design but I think the soundtrack is a little worse compared to OG Rush. Conic Colours DS does a lot of things with the wisps in that game that you don't see in the console release, so it's worth a playthrough if you want to see what Dimps could do combining the previous Rush format and Colors elements together.

Colors DS surprised me, I liked it quite a bit despite the gimmicky shit.

It'll be interesting to see how they can get this to work on the Saturn, when the original team couldn't. Granted, that was probably because of the bureaucratic shitshow shoved on them.
Some sanic spergs out there might have enough autism to do assembly on the saturn's twin SH2s, but still sounds like a fate worse than fixing a COBOL mainframe

As for the OG team iirc they were never up to the task and to make matters worse the lead dev quit and left the coding to a n00b who almost literally died in the process. Looking at the downright magic naughty dog pulled to get crash to run as it did in the psx sega should've hired them to do X-treme

Dunno I remember them sucking sega's dick saying that game was great

Even tho I agree DIMPS' level design has its problems I cant in any way compere the levels in the advance series to sonic 4, sonic 4 tries to use a more traditional level design than both advance and rush, while also throwing shit gimicks and having the worst physics of any 2d sonic game.
The other games, especially advance 2, use automation to punish you and tell you to not keep in the path you are currently using while also throwing springs and grinding to try to send you into slower paths, I know that isnt everyones cup of tea, but I feel that it gives them a unique and very fun flow, I prefer the way the old games and mania work, but that doesnt mean that advance and rush are bad.

My problem with rush is that the bust and tricks undermind the level design by making it much more easy to build up speed, and I feel that by this point dimps started using less traps to throw you into the wrong path, making the levels as something I ended up enjoying less.

Part 3 coming out in only 11 days feels like it was written and done along side part 2 but was cut out and turned into its own part either for pacing reasons or to get part 2 out quicker, part 1's sketches had at least one for part 2 but the gap between the two is significantly longer.
Part 3 has now come out 9 days ago:
FROM 2016

Okay, admittedly I'm a bit in the dark as I only just recently learned about it, but this Google doc should hopefully explain everything.
  • Make mediocre Sonic fangame
  • Lock update posts and beta for your game based on copyrighted pre-existing material behind a paywall
  • People criticize your game
  • Harass and mock your critics on Twitter
  • Steal music from the Cars 2 game
  • Mock one of your own crew members for being unable to beat your game while they're in the middle of a mental breakdown
  • Deny everything, block everybody
  • Also put a boss fight against a dying 12-year-old girl in your ridiculously edgy game and give her textured panties saying "bad girl"
Tl;dr some guys made a crappy monetized fangame and can't take criticism and now Twitter is clowning on them.
Could arguably just be brushed off as the Sonic fandom fighting about shit as usual, but this is next-level even for them, and the stakes are certainly much higher.

Edit: Added Doc as attachment in case something happens to it (also corrected some grammar mistakes cuz I'm a fucking moron who can't pay attention)
