Story trailer. It shows off the second biome (Desert) as well as some story and Cyberspace stuff. Sky Sanctuary remix confirmed properly.

I saw a gif of Sonic punching a child. I like this new direction Sega is taking the franchise in.

As far as names are concerned, Skies of Arcadia has a bit of an identity crisis. When the game was first announced a little over a year ago, it was known as "Project Ares".

On Sonic Omens, it looks like some gayops was afoot to try and flame them. It was rather obvious with the fact the document 'exposé' was 25 pages long and stuffed with a good amount of filler, flimsy arguments, and the involvement of the dejected tranny VA (the friend of the author) in shilling this 'cancel sonic omens' agenda.

Unfortunately for these russian fangame developers, because of the obvious language barriers and timezone differences, lies written in English spread faster than truths.

Might do a longer writeup and a tldr of this after gathering some more info on this.

Last I heard, people were getting mad at the guy for having a Patreon or something, I don’t know. I have no idea what has happened since then

It's clear the Farkle guy does have a negative bias towards the Omens team, but at the same time the developers should've been more vigilant on removing that Maria texture, and the Cars 2 music does sound quite similar, despite the team's claims otherwise.
would also help if the game was actually any good

Initially the game had a Patreon that they were making money from, which people were worried about because it could set a trend that might get Sega's lawyers involved in the fangame scene. After the initial backlash they changed the Patreon to their studio and removed most Sonic content from it.

In my opinion that and the Maria texture is what really killed their public perception, they've already got the fanbase riled up from the initial Patreon, and the fanbase still views their studio's patreon as related to and profiting off of Sonic content, then add in the perception that the devs are giving a child character an NSFW underwear texture? It's a foregone conclusion at that point.
