As promised before.
Also, I've been replaying Shadow the hedgehog, I already finished it two times, but I'll be honest, I cant enjoy this game at all so there is no way I'll play it 10 times to get the true ending.

For me, Shadow The Hedgehog is crap, but it's fun kind of crap. The story is laughable and over the top, the music is great, and the gameplay is surprisingly stimulating. However, playing through from the beginning ten friggin' times can be pretty tedious.

Also, fuck Lost Impact.

Sega’s Hardlight studio is working on a new Sonic mobile game
A NEW JOB LISTING REVEALS THE UK STUDIO’S LATEST PROJECT

The listing, which was posted on GamesIndustry.biz’s jobs board, is titled: “Lead Artist – New Sonic Game”.

It reads: “Sega Hardlight is looking for a Lead Artist who can drive both the art and the art team on a new, exciting, and ambitious narrative driven platform game. You could be an art/environment lead with a proven track record or a senior artist looking for a step up in the career.

“As a Lead Artist you will be at the forefront of one of our new titles. You will help drive both the artistic vision and the internal art team to produce high-quality art through effective communication, collaboration, detailed planning, and active mentorship.

“You will be hands on, creating highly compelling artwork that meets the visual and technical requirements of the game whilst serving as the benchmark for artistic excellence and work ethic.

“You will understand the limitations of a mobile game but still push the quality towards console levels. Being part of Sega, you enjoy and have experience in creating stylised art, exciting worlds and colourful characters.”

The UK-based Hardlight studio has already been responsible for six Sonic mobile games over the past decade, including three endless runners – Sonic Dash, Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

Other Hardlight-developed Sonic mobile games include Sonic Jump, Sonic Jump Fever and Sonic Racing, the latter being an Apple Arcade exclusive.

Earlier this year Sega also released Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade. This redesigned version of the original Sonic Dash removes all microtransactions, meaning players have to earn extra characters via gameplay and timed events.

There was a rumour a while back (part of the Frontiers "leaks" IIRC) that mentioned a Genshin Impact-esque Sonic game was in the works. If it's real, it's probably this. Then again that list of rumours also included Sonic 5 with playable Shadow, so take it with a mountain of salt.

I hope that's true, no way they'll fuck up as badly as Sonic 4 again. At least, not in the same way.

Sonic 4 fell so flat that Sega can never again generate excitement with a new numbered Sonic game in the classic series. If they announced Sonic 5, there would legitimately be tons of people who didn’t know there was a Sonic 4.

Please no. I HATE Genshin Impact.

I don't mind the idea of another Sonic RPG, but there are better games to copy than that chink-riddled flaw of a game.
I dunno. Save for it's toxic waste dump of a fanbase (Something the Sonic franchise maybe familiar with), Genshin Impact is a solid game by itself.

Can’t wait for this one to crash and burn like the others

Edit:
Why not the bird instead of another hedgeoc?.
I didnt really think that her hair fitted with a bird tbh, I am also not good with beaks.

Edit to not double post: Looks like someone actually had this idea already sorry.

I would draw, but I’m not sure I could properly draw what I have in mind. Also, I’m tired, so maybe later

So used to seeing nothing big in these projects that seeing something new like Nack threw me off, love how they captured stye of the restored Metal Sonic boss fight for him as well.

Edit:
Supposedly this is actually a bigger thing than I originally thought with him being one of the two planned boss fights and the theme used in the Metal Sonic fight was actually his theme, his fight is currently lost so that's why seeing a playable version of it is a big deal.

Could've used the 4 on so many other games, even 2006, instead went with a shitty mobile title

How sega is still in business its beyond me, probably CA?
Coding on the saturn, a fate worse than death

I rather have an xtreme remake from scratch using modern tech, would be interesting to see how the whole fisheye thing works when you got proper drawing distance

Sanic is still a cashcow for them, they had enough money to buy Fatlus, the most recent Monkey Ball game was making a profit and the Yakuza series gained a lot of popularity in the recent years. Sega Sammy additionally still is in the market of Pachinko machines, but they thankfully didn't go full crime syndicate-Yakuza like Konami. Fuck Konami. We're probably never going to see a good Castlevania or Metal Gear game again. Especially the latter since it's pretty much a dead series.

Elaborate on "CA". California? Sonic Team is located in Los Angeles, but can a development studio really ask for gibs there? CDPR got gibs for Cyberpunked 2077 and we've seen how that turned out.
