Part 3 coming out in only 11 days feels like it was written and done along side part 2 but was cut out and turned into its own part either for pacing reasons or to get part 2 out quicker, part 1's sketches had at least one for part 2 but the gap between the two is significantly longer.
Anyways something as we're on a little animation detour already, Wrath of Nazo has been canceled but we'll be getting the unfinished version of it at some point and the creator has said he's fine with revival projects for it.

There’s this fan film project I’ve been following for a while called Sonic Villains and its newest update looks like complete dog shit.
First of all, fuck OCs, I came here for real characters. Second, their designs are hideous. Moonah especially doesn’t even look like a Sonic character. Third, if they wanted a pop star, why couldn’t they use Mina Mongoose? This is supposed to have pretty much every Sonic character, after all.

Sonic Frontiers Will Be Playable For The Public At EGX In September (UK)
Sega and ReedPop have announced that the upcoming Sonic Frontiers will be playable for attendees at EGX London in September, ahead of the game's official release later in the year. It will mark the first instance in which the game will be playable for the public in the UK. Previously, media outlets who attended Summer Game Fest 2022 back in June were able to get hands-on with the game in the US.Here's the rundown from Sega and ReedPop:

I agree, there hasn’t been any proper sonic games for nearly five years now, say what you want about 2000s Sonic at least there was an incredible sense of variety and we were getting games almost every year, there was always such an amazing sense of ambition of even the ‘dark ages’ so much creativity is missing now.

Yeah, the OCS look really trashy, I'm guessing this takes place on Games Sonic's world so that's why there's not Mina Mongoose.
Since there are two singers, it would be an interesting dynamic if it was Mina Mongoose and Fabian Vane from the Fleetway comics.
One is a famous young up-and-coming singer and the other is a washed loser and "the worst singer of all time" who tries desperately to return to his past famous.
It would be nice seeing Mina try to help this guy out and during the performance proper Fabian could be noticeably not the best of singers but still not awful and Mina could help mask it.
And all of this could work not only because of the multiverse stuff but also because they have already shown that they are fine with putting Fleetway background characters.
There seems to be significance put onto the female cast.
Could be a woke thing because the main dude did drawn that infamous BLM Sonic photo.
And on that note, I thought the dude would look closer to his cartoon self but in reality he looks like a man who likes himself some good cupcakes.
Anyways to end on a light note, they did a really good job when it comes to Sonic OVA.
Sonic is really well done here and pretty accurate, Tails' is as well but that's not a good thing.
Also it's interesting how it's tied into the story with it being after the events of OVA and Games Eggman looking for Hyper Metal Sonic without being aware of his fate, still no idea why he kidnaps Sara and brainwashes her but the starting premise is pretty interesting.
Sucks that this is probably going to be the only time we see them, the old man owl may show up elsewhere but I don't think everyone else would, at least until the ending of the film.
Would be cool to see OVA Sonic meet Fleetway/STC Sonic (not talking about Super Sonic btw) again maybe at the ending but I don't know, also don't know if this will ever get finished tbh.

Amusingly, the actual artists on the comic seem to be monitoring the porn threads on 4chan, and sperging out the moment someone suggests that the IDW creative team doesn't want such artwork of their characters made.

Does anyone remember Metal Sonic 3.0?
He's recently made a comeback in the official Roblox Sonic game "Sonic Speed Simulator" which the reason behind his addition was probably because of Nibroc-Rock's involvement on the project.
It is very interesting how this character has only appeared in one game Sonic Rivals 2 (2007), well two if count the first Sonic Rivals (2006) but there he was just a "leather" skin for Metal Sonic.
Either way, if you recognize this dude then you either played Rivals 2 on the PS Vita or you know of Shard the Metal Sonic from the Archie comics which was inspired by the character.
That or you're like me where you're familiar with the character because of Metal Sonic mods (many Generations) where he replaces Metal Sonic, which actually fits in with his character.
We've reached a part in the series where we're starting to see obscure old characters return, I've heard rumors that Mecha Knuckles from the first Sonic Advance is also going to return in the IDW comics as well.
I'm not complaining and Archie has done this before with Sliver Sonic 2.0/Prototype, Mighty, and Ray being examples that come to mind, just interesting that it's happening now years after these characters originally debuted.

Metal Sonic wanted to be Sonic so badly without understanding what makes Sonic well Sonic which is why his Neo form is so interesting, he starts off with an appearance similar to Sonic at his best (aka Super Sonic) but throws it all the way in an act to surpass it and prove that he is indeed the true and honest Sonic but by doing so he becomes the furthest thing away from Sonic.
Then you remember that he reverted back to his normal form after being beaten by Super Sonic, something that happened before with Chaos which happened because of Super Sonic's nullifying powers that can save anyone willing to change like Chaos or the Mother Wisp, this greatly implies that even Metal Sonic had second thoughts about his whole plan.
You mix this with Metal Sonic 3.0 a better version of him that challenges Metal to be the better him and not something/someone he doesn't understand, I feel like this dynamic could really help bring Metal from being just a one-note villain and make him more of a complex character without even turning him into a good guy.

I got bored and decided to go through the recent history tree of edits that were done on The Cutting Room Floor, when I came across this specific tidbit regarding user "MajiidMiimes"
This was the video that was linked
Going through the actual Sonic Colors article history section shows the work MajiidMiimes made to it
And the big fuss that was the cause of this blow-up was this
