Where we go again and they are the same Chaos from Sonic Runners Revival which I guess at least confirms the relationship between the projects, I kinda wonder what else they borrowed from each other now tbh.

I think Tangle and Whisper are also borrowed from Reloaded which makes their reveal in the Runners Revival direct a lot less interesting because they aren't really new characters, also they were probably really only added to Revival as another Pride Mouth thing.

Either way, I hope we can eventually get Metal Sonic 3.0 and or Shadow Android at lleast playable from Reloaded in Revival.
Checked his channel to his see if he's uploaded anything else since the video and god damn is his new banner really funky looking.

EDIT: Even Sonic Retro's disappointed:
After listening to Carnival Night Act 1 and Launch Base Act 2, I feel like this mixing is inferior to both the Sonic 3 Complete and Sonic 3 AIR mixes.
Ice Cap sounds okay, Launch Base so so, Carnival Night is worse than Proto. Overall pretty disappointing.
The new super theme is Sonic 4 Episode 1 tier territory.
Yeah, this was a swing and a miss. They sound like the PC versions.
I might cancel my pre-order. That music is almost worse than the PC versions MIDI tracks. In fact, it's almost like they just took the MIDI tracks and threw the genesis sound fonts on it in FL studio. I am utterly dissapointed. How could you see the prototype music, look at this and say "hey this sounds good...."
I don't know how a musician can be so proficient when making arranged songs and then do a shitty job like this for FM stuff.
Sega should have hired Yuzo Koshiro. This is really heartbreaking.
Okay, so they WERE just using the proto You Can Do Anything for that Famitsu footage. Not sure why, though?

EDIT: WAIT THE FUCKING PROTO CREDITS MUSIC IS LEFT INTACT FOR THE 3&K ENDING

WHAT THE FUCK WHY DID THEY CHANGE THE PROTO TRACKS THEN

JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN
Oof, not the biggest fan of these remixes. I'll have to wait for the full version of these tracks but as it stand I vastly prefer the prototypes, I kinda wish they just left them alone tbh
This music is an insulting lack of effort. The protos sounded better than this, notwithstanding @Mastered Realm's amazing work remastering or the other remixes. It sounds like they only bothered to work on Ice Cap and then just used the PC MIDIs for Carnival Night and Launch Base. Seriously rethinking my purchase.
My general vibe is just sadness. Like, not to divulge deep into Michael Jackson discussion, but it makes you wonder if he was still about today and the controversies weren't so damaging / opinionated, that the licenses could have been. These "new" songs will always be proto songs. And they're songs that were simply "Support act" songs whilst waiting for Main Act to come on stage. It'll be a sad feeling playing through these levels and just being reminded of the "original" / MJ mix.
For fuck sake, I now don't want to buy this game, but I want to support the devs and I don't want to send Sega the impression that I don't want more classic Sonic.

Also they apparently delisted the old versions of the Sonic games on steam and elsewhere

And Mastered Realm made a thing:

They brought in Jun Senoue to remake the tracks, and not someone like Yuzo Koshiro who's been working with FM fairly consistently for decades instead of just sending demo tracks to the sound programmers like Jun did.

These sound like absolute dogshit because as far as anyone knows, they just took the WIN 95 PC MIDI files and changed to the soundfont to something a genesis would use.

Sonic 3 had some tracks made by Michael Jackson, so I assume they don't want to deal with the legal bullshit of using the OG tracks he's associated with.
I don't understand why they changed even the prototype music. They should have included the original tracks and entirely new ones (or, you know, cough up the cash for the Genesis tracks).
MJ delegated and his name wasn't on the credits so no idea if it's his estate that would have to be dealt with or if it's whoever owns the Jetzons catalog what with the whole Hard Times thing:
Or the rest of the songwriters who worked on the thing. No info on that one lawsuit that Bobby Brooks was involved with over this ever surfaced, and last I heard, he and the others were cool talking about it recently, so no idea what even happened there.

Given that it was 90s Sega of Japan in charge of the whole thing, there's a 100% chance they're the ones who fucked up the paperwork on this somewhere.

That super theme is terrible, holy shit. Anyone want to place bets on how long it’ll take for someone to mod in the original music?

Also, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just remade the prototype music instead of replacing it with bootleg Sonic 4.
