Jon St. John is reprising his role as Big the Cat in Netflix's Sonic Prime. The last time he voiced the character was in 2009.

Its funny that he came back, because apparently according to someone who met him at a con many years ago he learned to hate that role after awhile because Sonic fans would keep bothering him to do Big's voice. He also did Big's voice as a joke once he was told what his character was like back when he auditioned for it, and they took it as a legitimate performance and then it become the voice for Big the Cat.

Edit: NVM Jon St. John is legitimately as dumb as Big when it comes to using twatter

Now we know why she would be pushing for gay shit in Sonic the Hedgehog but I am 100% sure that she was brought onto the IDW theme in a style to how Pendleton brought on Tumblr artist like Rebecca Sugar to work on Adventure Time that Ian Flynn did the same with her.

This isn't just out of nowhere speculation, Ian used to work on a edgy fan Sonic comic set in a alternate universe called "Other M" way before he got brought onto Archie to be a writer,

He also has a weird obsession with Bean the Dynamite.

I have to disagree that weirdo furry degenerates aren't Sonic fans because these two are Sonic fans while also being degenerates, the real problem is how much they let slip into their content and now they are working on official Sonic stuff so this all is a bigger deal.

Now I know Ian really was trying to push for Sally and Nicole to be a thing near the end of Archie so I'm not even surprised that they are doing the same thing now but but this time with characters they created, so it works better.

Nonetheless SEGA hiring Sonic fans can be a curse or a blessing, in this case both are true but who knows this all will be seen once it gets into the games, Sonic has done gay pride shit before in the past and we do live in globohomo times but even still sucks to see.

Unironically, in the Archie Comics pregenesis wave they were a lot more contained because they couldn't just bastardize the character's legacies. Evan Stanley should have remained as just an artist as her pencils for the scenes were always really good.
He's a lolcow but DHT surprisingly covered the many, many, problems with Flynn and it's much worse than just this. He cultivated a forum full of fans to suck him off and give him praise because of his massive ego and has them harass any critics. As you can see by everyone who constantly praises his work on IDW. He's also a shipfag, so if he becomes a constant writer for the games, get ready to see him trying to push the SonAmy/ShadAmy envelope as far as it can go because he has a boner for the 12 year old anthro hedgehog.

It bears noting she started it as a child, and for the most part seems to be continuing its convoluted mess of a story for her own reasons. Revisiting works done as a child and trying to make it coherent for fun. The most consistent praise I've seen is that the art is nice, but very rarely the story.

In the 2010's it was fairly popular due to the artwork being higher quality than the plethora of other 'serious' fan-comics or sprite comics. Likewise with OtherM - Flynn wrote it, but got other artists on board to draw the comic.

That they're seething much over this when it's a known fact that the same people who deliberately tried to push this on the previous comic venture are working on the current one is the most surprising thing. SEGA America and Japan have already given in to the globohomo and done so for several years now, too.

Interesting to note that there's a rumor on 4chan's /vg/ claiming that Sega is VERY close to shutting the comic down because it doesn't sell at all. Seeing this, i wonder if there any truth to truth to that...

I peddle it around IDWfags just to rile them up, but it's not particularly likely.

Comichron's sales numbers of individual issues was frequently referenced on /vg/, however the website has yet to make publicly available to non-patreon subscribers the data for 2022. Towards the tail end of 2021 it was a somewhat stagnant number of orders from comics stores, with a few spikes here and there.

It's certainly possible that the series gets cancelled before its 100th issue, but considering SEGA's new west-focused approach with Sonic is to make it some sort of multimedia brand, it's unlikely to get cancelled.

It's also worth noting that digital sales data won't be available, as that's all through IDW's own services.

Seems like those "cyberspace levels" are original levels based on tropes seen before in the series. Your grass level, your old ruins level and so on. People are saying it's Green Hill and Sky Sanctuary from Generations but it doesn't really match up at all.

Well, it's not like the ending was spoiled by the "chili dog" joke, early on.

But at any rate, Frontiers is unintentionally turning into BOTW, despite the (remaining) Sonic exec claiming that it isn't. I'm kind of expecting that the core gameplay won't go beyond doing random stuff to summon the island's boss or something.

There's tons of shit flying around and who even knows what's true or not, but you're not going to be seeing any dungeons and I'm pretty sure there won't be any towns to mingle in. Essentially the gameplay loop is (confirmed by the IGN employee who did the hands on):

>Explore island
>Do puzzles to expand where you can explore
>Fight big bosses to earn portal cogs
>Portal cogs open up the "cyberspace levels" (very clearly using tropes like Green Hill and Sky Sanctuary, but the level flickers on and off visually because it's a construct).
>These levels are "bitesize" (I would assume 2-3 minutes a pop) and have optional missions like Time Attack, get all Red Rings etc.
>You get the Chaos Emeralds from these stages.

As for the pick-ups you get from enemies, people are speculating there's some sort of Chao raising in the game but beyond there being little creatures here and there I'm not sure I believe that. However, if the whole thing IS a Matrix-type deal, those creatures could be Chao in some other form.

SEGA really wants to keep this game under-wraps, through only allowing a select few people to play the demo at SGF (defeating the point of even having a booth there), to a media embargo around the game outside of IGN's approved coverage.

It does not inspire confidence around the end product, but reception to the demo appears to have been positive.

The seagulls that keep showing up in the trailers are something out of a 6th or 7th-gen console game, however. They're static, low-detailed models. Give me puzzle pieces for this, but seeing them show up is very jarring when compared to the rest of the game world.
