Ruined the greatest event in modern era SA by not allowing it reach its natural conclusion you mean. Also set the new green deal back by years when they fail to set up a mechanism to harvest the energy of the admin backpedaling when Doobie's less-than-full-woke opinions started be brought to light.

Both of these are true but Doobie busting led to GBS 2.0, which was a lot of fun. That fun is what led to FYAD getting jealous and so the Nazi gibbis thing happened and then the Lowtax lol happened. Maybe FYAD is the answer to it alll?

I’m pretty sure GBS 2.0 was more of a direct reaction to Aatrek, given that Lowtax left the paywall up for months at a time afterwards and wanted to give people anything to talk about aside from MODS KNEW.

I hate that smitty-avatared toady long before he got his star because he shat up threads but sucked enough Mod dick he got protection from on high if anyone tried to shut him up. I don't know if there was any confirmation other than mine, but when asking for asstoy shopping help he mentioned he was looking a small dildo as the upgrade from his other toys.

I have sadly forgot some of the specifics -I was trying to figure out who this obnoxious thread-shitting libtard brownnoser was, discovered he was both so single his dick was in danger of going numb and he loved asstoys, and just laughed and realized this in-the-closet faggot could be ignored. I debated trying to bring up his love of things in the butt the next time he fagged out in a thread, but instead decided he was just another whitenoise sycophant and not worth dealing with a posting grudge when I could just put him on ignore - which I did.

Fast forward a few years, he became a terrible vindictive admin of the commissariat and I was left with many regrets over not saving those embarrassing posts when I had the chance, since I didn't know offsites were a thing and figure he was too much of a fag to actually get a star. how wrong I was.

Having been considered to be a mod twice on SA. I can tell you it’s 100% based on sycophancy, because any mod or admin can veto the nomination at any time for any reason and you’re basically out. First time (Games forum mod at its inception in 2002 or whenever) I got blocked by EPG, second time (when slowbeef stepped down from being LP mod in 2008 or so) by one of the Games mods, maybe Axemaniac, I can’t remember.

But the point is it literally only takes one person to say no.

Edit: to be absolutely clear, I never lobbied or petitioned to be mod, the initial list is usually formed from “who posts the most?” unless the previous mod suggested some specific people. True for most forums, really.

Games was hilariously enough initally a containment forum for console war horseshit that was everywhere in GBS and FYAD. That’s why it’s one of the oldest subforums.
