It's from Something Awful that I first learned about calories in/calories out, some diet strategies and hilarious anecdotes about dumb goons ruining their bodies in record time, all because they thought to have cheated the system. What happened?

I know it's a tired truism by now, but there was a massive culture shift in SA from "making fun of furries and christians and each other" to "becoming womyn together (NOT a fetish!)" and because many were chubby/enormous before gobbling girl 'mones, making fun of fats became haram.

Also alot of the qcs post have some honest and real down to earth ideas shame sa is run by a cabal of nazi chuds and leftist transsexual pedo depending who you talk to.
 
It's still kind of tragic to find something in the wild on the internet from the 2000s that still resonates as funny and then see where things are now.

SA and SNL and a lot of other "comedy" from went from "nothing is sacred and it's good and funny to make fun of things that make you uncomfortable" to only discussing items form the Party Approved List alarmingly fast, and there has to be a thread that runs through all of it (SA's unique issues aside) and I just can't quite put my finger on what it might be.

I mean I know people lost their sense of humor after 9/11, but this is something that transcends all culture, not just SA in particular.
