You have a mod on staff who was all "Oh, maybe I shouldn't have allowed a sperg to make a thread about hiring hooker to pretend to cows for his weird ass fetishes without allowing him to rightly mocked". If he tries the same shit again, the fact he's done this before is key in getting an appropriate response that isn't just sweeping it under the rug. And also you had one who was a literal convicted pedo.

Protecting the mods and this wall of cloak-and-dagger silence is a large part of what makes that forum shit.

A convicted repeat child rapist at that. Oh yeah, and don't forget Shmorky, who was one of Something Awful's only paid staff and worked at their HQ until only a couple weeks before it closed. When I went there there was still talk about the "toilet paper explosion" in one of the restrooms, the result of Shmorky constantly wadding up paper towels and shoving them into his shirt to resemble breasts.

That being one of the less horrendous things that Shmorky has done.

E/N once had a rule that anybody posting a thread had to start the OP by comparing their situation to that of a Darfurian war orphan whose entire family was just killed in front of him. That rule should never have been repealed.
