There's this strong paranoia in these kind of SJWs about the seductiveness of other political positions. It's part of why they're hellbent on deplatforming all these people they disagree with and call Nazis. They think that if they're not hardline against every Pepe, every problematic joke and meme that veers from the message, that people might start to listen - and then they might agree, and then they're the enemy.

SJWs aren't considered the new evangelicals lightly. Their behavioural patterns map incredibly closely, right down to the dark allure of the Devil requiring eternal vigilance. Just in this case, the Devil includes such things as satire, dodgy comedy, and an awful lot of pictures with Impact font on them.

Whenever troons say they “just want” some teensy favor it’s a tell. No matter what you give them it will not be enough and they will demand more. Once you have given them everything they will leave because you’re no longer of use.

I think it goes a bit deeper than that:

Not to speak in broad strokes, but your general PVP-orientated player is usually less interested in any kind of politicking in guilds or in general. You generally won't find them engaging in any kind of policing either way, and since the WoW PVP community is relatively small (on an organized scale, think RBGs, Arenas, etc) they can be rather insular, even within larger guilds.

PVP was always my bend in WoW, and even being in very large guilds, the 20 or so of us who did it "full time" and pushed ranking usually hung out with each other and stood apart, based on common interest. In a world without purity tests, this would be completely fine. But since goons attach purity tests to EVERYTHING, being a bystander is just as bad as being an aggressor when it comes to identity politics.

A PVPer saying to the casual troon "look man I don't care about your gender I just want to push rating" is akin to saying "i am hitler reincarnated, gas the troons, race war now." I remember, several times, mid RBG or arena match, goons coming into the channel to talk about inane political shit while someone is actively calling targets. They are completely oblivious to any goal and find the player who tries to actually push themselves baffling.

Serious Overchill enforced this weird rule judiciously: no matter how bad someone was on a team, regardless of game, they were NOT allowed to be chided, corrected, or coached. Anything akin to it was an assault and resulted in a ban.

It wasn't as if there were not talented players hiding on SA, it was just that everyone was just so absurdly fragile about everything, making playing with them impossible.

When I joined the goon guild in BFA, the entire GMOTD and information tab was just lgbqtia disclaimer spam, and I'm thinking, great, but who the fuck cares? Big mistake.

I want elaboration on this. You had a half-dozen or more people in a Discord voicechat labeled “ACTIVELY DOING GAMEPLAY THINGS GTFO” and talking like auctioneers as you tried to keep each other updated on what was going on, and some lonely troon would see all the icons in voice and come in to monologue over everybody else about their feelings concerning Mayor Pete or whatever? And then would throw a hissy fit for not being listened to/being yelled at for trying to impose their shit on people who were preoccupied?

Because that’s one of the most autistic things I’ve ever heard.

Sometimes people would find the channel with the most people in it, and we were in a channel labelled for PVP. RBGs require 10 people on comms, so they figured they'd just pop in and talk about some dumb QCS thread that they wanted people to post in for traction, some suggestion about people being able to pay to permanently prevent redtext/av changes or something.

I only remember because it was a temple match, and someone was calling orb carries and when people were trying to talk this person TALKED LOUDER AND OVER THEM. Naturally, no one in channel could boot them and they couldn't take a hint despite everyone telling them to piss off, so we all had to individually mute them.

Two of the people in the group were actually pickups, and one audibly was like "what the fuck was that lol" after the match.

The second time was the next week of matches, and we were just chilling waiting for queues so there was some banter back and forth (10 minute queues). There were all 10 team members in the channel, and 5 or 6 others just hanging out, most of which were respectful enough when matches started to pipe down and just listened in as someone streamed on discord for them. Part way through, our anchor (the guy who stands alone defending the first point for your side) was griping that he couldn't kill a druid who was constantly just rolling heals on himself without doing any damage just to tie the node up. Someone said "what a faaaaag" in that kind of joking way goons used to do.

Someone went nuclear so hard in voice it was causing my headset to crack with white noise. It was sublime.

After that, people just decided to split off and use another discord entirely, which worked out just fine. I think everyone ended up quiting the goon guild and we joined the Elitist Jerks guild for awhile.

Jesus. It’s like that one toddler or cat that jumps up on the table and crawls all over the chessboard so the people looking at the chessboard will look at the spoiled cat/child instead.

One of the greatest WoW addons ever made was Automatic Goblin Therapist, a chatbot based on an ancient algorithm from the 1960s that you could use to take over for you in any DM conversation with a crazy person. All it did was rephrase every DM it received as a question and DM it back, with a varying delay to simulate the time it would take for a real person to type the message. I wonder how many of nowadays’ goons are dumb enough to fall for that.
 
It isn't SA, but I remember being part of an Elder Scrolls Online community. We were talking about the setting's various gods and mystical elements, when we got onto the subject of vampirism. In Elder Scrolls lore the god responsible for that curse literally has the King of Rape as one of his titles, which is entirely relevant.

This was mentioned in passing and one of the forum moderators completely lost his shit about how people were being disrespectful, and that it was to be considered a safe space, etc. Even people who would've normally agreed were like what the fuck, are you high.

Dojt even get me started on the twats that think sliding into view and mentioning racism in every single discussion of Lovecraftian horror...
