Humor is how the alt-right nazis subvert and recruit youth!
No lie, “The Alt Right Playbook” is a popular youtube vid that essentially encourages paranoia and terror tactics on the basis that anybody with a non-far-left viewpoint or voicing any criticism of far-left ideas is actually a disguised Nazi trying to recruit more Nazis.

Legit an underrated post. It's a mantra I've seen EVERYWHERE (From forums about video games to claims that white supreamacist groups somehow used Cerebus to attract vulnerable teens) but I was never able to put my finger on it until you mentioned it specifically.
It really IS the satanic panic all over again. Fuck it, I don't actually think the satanic panic was EVER this mainstream.

You're seeing that EVERYWHERE? Are you sure you're not paranoid? All I've seen said about alt-right humor is that it's unfunny/nonexistant (which is largely true of both the extreme right and left, it's just memes and basic propaganda posing as humor).

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one. I don't mean it's literally everywhere but I have seen it very commonly.
Remember the uproar over pepe? pewdiepie? The OK symbol? All of these are supposedly alt-right recruitment tools according to mass funded media giants.

The difference between making an ok symbol and just making an asshole and people going oh you got me, can make or break your career. Just clown world things.

I ve often thought the same thing, and behind it are people who seek to control media to control speech. You had groups that wanted to censor things like music and movie, and comic books. were basically having the left engage in a weird type puratism for the sake of purity.

I remember when it was the right protesting shit.

Its pretty funny listening to troons talk about the modern events. Most of them laugh about people wanting to go back to work when most of them are either people who work from home or were never employed because troon status. Also you play german teams in a video game, you are unironically a nazi.

If nobody leaves the house, I can never be misgendered...

It's not about alt-right humour - which, yes, is usually brutally unfunny for the same reasons ideological jokes are so terrible. What I've also seen around in other places like SA is a strong implication about the dangers of humour making 'alt-right' ideas palatable.

There's this strong paranoia in these kind of SJWs about the seductiveness of other political positions. It's part of why they're hellbent on deplatforming all these people they disagree with and call Nazis. They think that if they're not hardline against every Pepe, every problematic joke and meme that veers from the message, that people might start to listen - and then they might agree, and then they're the enemy.

SJWs aren't considered the new evangelicals lightly. Their behavioural patterns map incredibly closely, right down to the dark allure of the Devil requiring eternal vigilance. Just in this case, the Devil includes such things as satire, dodgy comedy, and an awful lot of pictures with Impact font on them.

It becomes ironic when you consider that half the time when SA mods probe/ban your account, they drop "sick" memes in the reason as well.

Most SA posters, and SA staff, wrestle with a truth that they don't fully comprehend, yet understand well enough to ban any wrongthink -- and that is that their ideas are unpalatable, unpopular, and not mainstream. They know they never will be. They also know the only way those ideas survive is in the face of heavy handed moderation, which is part and parcel for B&R, Resetera, and any other similar board.

They're so close to self-realization. FAU has called right-wing ideologies weeds that need to be stamped out. And he's right, they are. They're pervasive, hardy, and represent all the endurance that his own ideology will never acquire. SA groupthink, and the ideologies that underpin it, cannot, and will not ever survive in the free market of ideas. They don't stand up to the scrutiny of reality and application.

I'm still amazed, above all, that SA posters completely manage to bury their heads in the sand in a world flourishing in populist and nationalist waves, not realizing their attempts at total destruction of these movements, instead of working with them, only make them stronger. And poor, delicate Rich's patreon has to suffer for it.

Leftists in 1910: "The fall of Capitalism and its replacement by Communism are inevitable, as they are the only possible outcomes of predictable, structural economic forces."

Leftists in 1960: "The only way to spread Communism is to actively fight and agitate for it, or the forces of Capitalism may win the struggle."

Leftists in 2020: "We must actively suppress and censor all rival ideologies because they are all more attractive than our own and without relentless thought policing even our own hugboxes will succumb."

And now we arrive at SA, a comedy Forum that has banned jokes and driven their own owner away in case they cause people to question the narrative of a once-great political ideology that is apparently now so fragile that the mildest chortle might bring it crashing down on their heads.

I don't know who to be more embarrassed for: Goons, Lowtax or Karl Marx.

At certain point, when complete lack of self-awareness and blind, automaton-like behavior take hold, you stop feeling embarrassed for these dregs and just call them "pod-people".
