Like 12 years ago there was a bigass thread in one of the subforums about giving up shampoo and switching to "natural" products like Apple Cider Vinegar. They would talk about how it would be greasy for a month or so but then it was "totally fine to not use shampoo ever again". Goons have always been gross.

It's basically a struggle session about how much you can yell at Trump (in violation of the no politics rules of course). There were and are multiple apologists for China's handling of the pandemic.

It's less about them liking China and more about them hating Trump so hard that everything overrides it. No matter what anyone does, he's the real guilty culprit.

Oh, China handled SARS-CoV-2 very well. In a technical sense.

There's nothing better at squashing an epidemic than welding people inside of their homes and dragging anyone with a fever or SOB to central quarantine. Little bit extreme, but effective.

People are even shitting all over chloroquine as treatment option just because Trump talked about it. Let that sink in. They talk shit about a promising procedure that could save a bunch of lives in a fucking global pandemic just because Trump mentioned it, instead of hoping that it actually will work. How fucked in the head have you got to be? It's no place for politics. I do agree Trump is no expert and should have never mentioned it, but that's no reason to shit all over the option itself, and it's especially no reason to extra-hope it won't work just so Trump will be wrong.

To be fair, Chloroquine has enough side effects it shouldn't really be considered a first-line medicine against it. That said, even if Trump mentioned a real silver bullet with no side-effects they would still hate him.
 
So waaay back when I read D&D it was during obama term. The UsPol thread would mock fox news viewer for their constant reeing, like when barry bowed to the sadui king, cofee cup solute gate, what have you.

one thing that D&D was good for back then was that when the administration did something there would be a group of people who could break down the issue and explain with facts.

One thing that comes to mind was how the southern state governors would throw shit fit about illegals, and demand barry use his "exuctive" authority to do...."something" at the same time People would Ree about him abusing his powers as president.
