something tells me that cascadebeta's request to be banned was him threatening to put himself up on a cross and the mods just shrugged their shoulders and said 'ok'.

i'll be surprised if he's gone for even 2 days lol
 
Why would anyone even request a ban instead of just intentionally posting something banworthy like "Joe Rogan isn't a Nazi"? All self-requested bans show is that the user was enough of a cuck to never step out of line on ERA of all places.

That ban description is... telling. It's written like Cryano is afraid of him. I don't think I've ever seen a ban description that outright stated "um it wasn't actually for this post I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that he requested a ban but he's free to come back whenever".

Like just about everyone else gets a mean catty ban reason, but James "CascadeBeta" Bellandi gets handled with kid gloves.
 
A few more of them in the TGRS tranny thread are half-heartedly threatening to leave in solidarity/because Jeffery of Yospos got brought back quietly.

Pretty much just fishing for "oh no :( please don't leave" from the rest of them.

You can tell he's afraid because he fuffiled the request instead of blowing it off.

For the uninitiated - Something Awful has a variety of ways to ban yourself without moderator/admin intervention. The easiest and most common way is starting a thread and using a "forbidden" tag (Hot, Attention, Mod Tags, Lowtax's Tag, or the "Ban me" tag) and CB could have just done that himself.
