Ain't this the truth? I was just about to post a few screenshots related to this.

These are from Xander77, champion of virtue, and staunch ally of women everywhere...

It starts out fairly innocuously (for SA), with some out-of-left-field vitriol for the Dresden Files:

After a couple of people call him on it, he breaks out the M-word:

Finally, he devolves into just slinging accusations:

Interestingly, there are people still calling him out for it, which I didn't think would still happen on current-year Something Awful. I await news of their banning once he pitches enough of a shitfit.

I looked around to see if he had some lolcow traits, and some of them are definitely there: he uses the same username everywhere, he still uses LiveJournal (lol), he posts extremely long imagedumps (120+ pictures) of things like Ben Garrison cartoons, complete with commentary on most of them (see here), and to top it off, he somehow got banned from TVTropes; I couldn't find out why. I do find it interesting that he seems to give the Witcher books praise on his LJ, though, given what he says about Dresden Files.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that would be a tipping point to warranting a thread for now. Time will tell...
The Dresden books aren't very good but Jesus what the fuck is he talking about. I read about half of them and don't remember any of this shit about Dresden's "Madonna-Whore Complex".

He probably likes the Witcher books because he's so autistic the fairly unsubtle (and for the time prescient) criticisms of radical feminism went over his head. He probably thought the Lodge of Sorceresses wasn't a parody.

It's not the full version of that pic but it's from the belly dancing stuff
iu
Disgusting yet i'm sure there is even worse looking womens out there

I'm not sure either, because having read the books, I can safely say that the vast majority of the female characters are neither Madonnas nor whores; as far as Butcher ever lets us know, the people who get the best, regular monkey sex are the Catholic paladin and his wife... not exactly Madonna/whore material, that. I've never read the Witcher books or played the games, but from what I've gathered neither of them are high on the list of radfem goodthink, so it's not surprising that they'd be favorites of a male feminist.

Semi-related to Something Awful, I've been browsing the Dresden Files/Urban Fantasy thread in Books and found that apparently Charlie Stross, author of the Laundry Files, is infected with a severe enough case of TDS that his characters have made allusions to Trump's rise being related to horrible occult shit. I checked his website and found that, not only had he thrown out an entire draft of a book because of Brexit, he also unironically references TVTropes in his own books.

He's a goon favorite, naturally.

Thank you for ensuring I never waste my time on this guy's shit.

Oh so Dresden aren't very good? Dang i was interested to see what they were like *sigh*. Wait so the Witcher books were anti radical feminism? I read a sypnosis of them yars ago and i also thought it was played straight, now i feel dumb

Damn, I liked some of his early work.

It depends on what you mean by "good." I actually really like Butcher's dialogue, the world is pretty interesting, and the stories themselves get dramatically better-written and fun as they go along, but they're not specifically meant to be life-changing literary experiences. That last part might be a plus or minus depending on your relationship with literature. Mileage may vary, of course.

In my opinion, his biggest weaknesses are relying a bit too much on pop culture references for humor and a penchant for trying to write Strong Female Characters™, though he gets better about the latter as time goes on.

Sounds good to me

Well, I found the Dresden books thoroughly "ok". They're a decent pulpy way to waste time but I'd not call them good. I suppose I wouldn't call them bad either. Some might like them better.

Witcher synopses and wiki entries are kind of weird in that a bunch of them are now written by people whose only experience with the series is Witcher 3 but for some reason feel compelled to write about the books the games are based on that they've never read. So it's easy to get the wrong impression. There are strong female characters in the Witcher books, and I mean actually strong, not feminist strong. But there are also several that are there just to poke fun at certain sociopolitical movements and human behaviors, including feminism. The female-only Lodge of Sorceresses are absolutely not played straight the first time they meet. They're a bunch of hypocrites and misandrists, and it's depicted that way in an almost comical fashion.

From the SA quotes thread on Something Sensitive:

Goons dehumanise "Nazis," Republicans are subhuman but us saying that doesn't make us Nazis and Mike Cernovich is a Nazi who should be stomped to death in the streets btw:

If anyone has a twitter account it might be worth forwarding this to Cernovich. The salt from him contacting law enforcement or SA's web host and Lowtax having to wake from his Ambien binge to deal with it would be great.

Also, Koalas March claims that her father is dead, actually no he isn't, wait yes he is and also give me money:

If Koalas March was my daughter I'd hang myself too.

How exactly can I trick people into giving me money consequence free like this? I just want money. Can I pretend to be a horrible stereotype then just say "bix noods gibs money plox?"

So much of this is telling.

"Haven't seen my dad since I was a kid, we talk on Facebook about music and writing songs and that's about it."

"I'm next of kin, they want me to make medical decisions for him."

"Best friend and ex-fiance are squabbling over stuff he had. I want that stuff but they won't agree to it!"

"Can't afford to have him cremated, send money please."

Let me get this straight, hasn't seen dad since childhood, wants dad's stuff. However, in order to get dad's stuff, Koalas has to assume and settle any outstanding debt he had, otherwise the estate is liquidated to pay for it..correct? Yeah...it's not just the cremation fee that's required here. Not to mention the best friend and ex-fiance have no legal standing, short of being willed it by pops, to ANYTHING, let alone dictate who gets the ashes etc. etc.....so all this tells me is, Koalas doesn't give a damn about anything in that estate, or more importantly dad, only cares about the pure MONEY angle. Cool.

"Dad's not dead, but they're harvesting his organs later today at 2pm."
(Soooo, I'm not 100% clear what to make of this. Pretty sure they don't harvest organs until death. Even if on total life support, don't they pull the plug first and wait for death before going slice and dice? This statement doesn't make sense to me...maybe I'm alone in that)

This is all sorts of fucked up basically.

What's the timeline on those posts? Because I'm pretty sure they don't just say "welp he's braindead, let's get those kidneys while they're still warm" after just 12h hours of observation.

Who's first impulse on hearing that their father is dying is to go rattle the fucking tin on something awful. Even if you don't like the man that's cold.

Yeah pretty sure they make sure they aren't comming back before harvesting the organs. The last thing they need is proof of the urban legends that being an organ donor means doctors are more likely to just let you die.

Oh no the nazis are stealing our animes.

The worst thing about all that is that it's written without a hint of irony.

I wanna know the precentage of trannies and/or obese people with poor hygiene in that thread.

I bet it's high.
