The ban wave wasn't specifically targeted at right wing people, just the "Problem Posters" that people think are making people not want to come to Something Awful. Some shitty posters get wrapped up in that but some of them are right wing as well since the most D&D complaints are generated by anyone trying to speak reason in the Trump safespaces.

Something Awful Moderation has a long history of deciding that the embarrassing, shrieking, histrionic faggots aren't what makes people not want to visit the website and it is instead everyone who disagrees with them. They are just scraping the bottom of the barrel to find anyone left that disagrees.

If Lowtax ever finally listens to reason it will be way beyond the point that anything can be salvaged. He will probably come post on Kiwifarms again out of frustration before he admits that creating a safespace for the worst internet stereotypes makes for a toxic posting culture most normal people don't want to participate in.

IR used to tell people that the "150% of troons get murdered" narrative made trans people look stupid and that they should knock it off. If they challenged the prevailing narrative in D&D, I could see it ending badly.

At this point SA is damned either way. There aren't many people that are going to pay to post there when there are countless other free options. The only thing left is to bleed the current users dry.

I remember he banned that one goon that self immolated himself and survived and made a thread about it with pictures and everything dude got banned. Wonder what happened to old fire face goon..if that was even real. His fucking face looked like a well done steak

A lot of people won't re-reg if banned. There already exist a ton of SA related discords and a few FB groups, not to mention places like here, Skullmund and SS, so users already have places other than SA to hang out with their chosen groups of goons. It really is only the diehards who'll try to keep SA afloat and most remaining users aren't diehards.
